To celebrate their summer break from D.W.M.A, Maka, Soul, BlackStar, Tsubaki, Death the Kid, Liz and Patty all decided to go on a little camping trip up north, into the Forbidden Forest, although it wasn't actually forbidden or dangerous.
Kid didn't like where they were headed at all. "Honestly! No symmetry! None at all!" He whined, looking at all the trees with disgust.
Maka rolled her eyes at Kid's whining. "Could you please just shut up! It's almost sunset and we have only a few more steps to go. I could really use some peace and quiet now!"
Kid sighed and hunched his back over, holding his double pistols. Maka held Soul in his scythe form and Black*Star held Tsubaki in her chain scythe form. Liz and Patty were in their weapon mode, Kid's double pistols.
The weapons had been awfully quiet, but no one seemed bothered by it. They walked peacefully for a couple of minutes until they reached a clearing.
"Yes!" Kid shouted, while Liz and Patty transformed out of weapon mode, along with everybody else.
"Why are you so happy?" Liz grumbled, stretching her back.
"Look at the symmetry! Isn't it marvelous?!" He gushed.
"MAKA-CHOP!!"
Suddenly, Kid found himself on the grass nearly unconscious, whilst Maka dusted off her shoulders like it was nothing.
"Please refrain yourself from being annoying. This a break I've needed for a while now and I don't want you ruining it with your dumb symmetry!" Maka huffed, setting down her bag, along with Soul's.
Kid set down Liz, Patty and his own bag while BlackStar but down Tsubaki and his bag.
"So," Tsubaki started awkwardly. "Should we set up the tent?"
The other murmured in agreement and began to help out. Before they knew it, they were all talking together and laughing.
As the sun set, the kicked up the fire and they all grinned in excitement when BlackStar revealed the marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers he brought along.
"Do you guys remember the time when me and BlackStar challenged Kid in the front of the school?" Soul said with a chuckle, taking the burnt marshmallow and plopping it in his mouth. "We got our asses kicked."
Everyone laughed while BlackStar started complaining about how if had matched his wavelength with Soul's, he could've easily beaten Kid.
"Oh BlackStar, you never stood a chance against a shinigami." Kid laughed, taking a bite of the treat in his hand.
"Hey Kid. Wait a sec." Soul said as the son of Death looked over to him with his golden honey eyes. He felt a thumb glide over his cheek as Soul wiped away some chocolate left on his cheek.
"You had something on your cheek." He said with a smirk as he licked off the sweet stuff on his thumb, making Kid's face light up like a fire truck.
He looked away quickly before mumbling, "You could've just told me."
A few "aww's" emitted from the group, which only made Kid's face heat up even more than it already was. Soul started laughing and threw his arm around the young shinigami, forcing his head on Soul's shoulder.
"Am I making you uncomfortable?" Soul whispered in his ear, making Kid shiver.
"No, I'm fine." He replied, nuzzling his face farther into Soul's neck and feeling himself doze off.
