I'm not yours, and you're not mine
Floof looked over to her older friend, who's eyes were closed under the tree they were sitting at.
But we can sit and pass the time
Scooting over, Floof poked Random's cheek, waking the purple lover up.
No fighting wars, no ringing chimes
"You fell asleep." Floof giggled softly. Random rolled her eyes and grinned.
We're just feeling fine.
Floof fiddled with her red scarf, while Random stared up at the sky.
"How long did the doctors say you couldn't use your voice?" Floof asked, slightly concerned, still looking down at her scarf.
This is where we're supposed to be
Random pursed her lips and closed her eyes, as if remembering, then snapped them open and grabbed her whiteboard and marker. She scribbled: 'Two weeks I believe.'
Sitting by a broken tree
Floof looked over and groaned. "Ugh, that's too long!" She whined.
No tragedy, no poetry
'Well, I had too do the surgery, unless you wanted me to be mute forever.' Random wrote.
Floof sighed and laid down on the slightly damp grass.
Just staring at the sky
The sky was turning an orangey pink because of the sunset.
'Beautiful..." Random wrote again, laying down next to Floof, but oppositely. {ITS THE FAULT IN OUT STARS POSE FROM THE MOVIE COVER I THINK IDK FUCK IT YOLOOOOOO}
I could wait a thousand hours
"I'll wait for you, Random." Floof said suddenly, making Random turn and give her a questionable look.
Stay the same in sun and showers
Floof turned her head to face Random, her amber eyes staring into the older's purpleish brown ones.
"I'll wait for you to get better. I'll be there waiting at the doctors office when they tell you it's ok to speak again."
Pick apart a hundred flowers
Random blinked a few times, her cheeks turning a light pink and she turned back to the sky again.
Just to be quiet
"What should we do after that?" Floof questioned, resting her hands behind her head. "I mean, after you can talk again. Like to celebrate. What do you want to do?"
Tell me when you feel ready
Random shrugged and put her hands behind her head as well.
I'm the one, there's not too many
They stood like that for a while, completely silent. Not speaking one word, but enjoying each other's company.
Hold my hand to keep me steady
Floof had started to doze off, when she felt something hold onto her paw. She turned again to see Random's hand in her own.
Just to be quiet with you, with you
