My Love For You Was Bulletproof (SEQUEL TO LEAVING HOME)

Chapter 9

"So what do you want to do for New Years?" Ryan asked me as I did my hair in the mirror in the hallway next to the front door  "I don't know, but I don't want to go to NYC anymore" I groaned 

"But Deven, that's like the only reason you came out here?" I smiled weakly at him as I walked back into the living room where he was sat. I was annoyed because my favourite pair of skinnies didn't fit over my ankle because of this stupid monitor I had on it "Why did Ronnie do this to me?" I asked Ryan dumping myself down on the sofa "Because he loves you" Ryan slapped his hand over his mouth like he had said something he shouldn't have I smirked "Oh really?" I asked him again as Jacky came from his bedroom to get breakfast. It was 12pm and it was unusual for him to be awake after 8am "Jacky you're up so late today?" I questioned him 

"Yeah I know, it's you, you tire me out" he said as he poured himself some coffee. I grabbed my phone and took a picture of my ankle with the monitor on before uploading it to Instagram "What are you doing?" Ryan asked worried. I wrote underneath it 'This is what @ronnieinreverse did to me, because he apparently loves me...' I handed my phone to Ryan and he rolled his eyes. "You don't make it any better for yourself Dev" he said before going over to Jacky and getting some coffee. 

I heard Jacky's phone ring as I was scrolling through the comments I was getting on my instagram, some were really nice but others were really nasty I was getting tweets as well. One of the messages said 'Are you with Ronnie omg!' I replied to the chick with 'Lol no' another said 'omg that's so sweet' I laughed out loud before replying with 'What is so sweet about having this forced onto my ankle?' Ryan came over and grabbed the phone off of me before closing it "Don't fuel it Deven fair enough the picture but don't respond to the comments" Jacky followed and grabbed my phone from Ryan's hand before giving it me back "We are going to band practise so behave yourself okay?" I smiled up at Jacky

"I always behave myself, plus if I go anywhere I'm not suposed to I'll get caught with this thing" I said pointing to my ankle. What they didn't know was that I had a plan up my sleeve. As soon as they shut the door I called Lexus and invited her over. They said I wasn't allowed near her's but they never said I wasn't allowed her over here right? 

When Lexus got here she had bought me alcohol and I yelped with excitement "So what, Ronnie put that on you so he knows where you are?" 

"I don't think he knows I think it's linked up to a rehabilitation center, he knew some guys from when he was in Rehab and he must have paid them to put this thing on me..." 

"So it's like parole?" I nodded 

"If I go anywhere near your place or within like 3 yards of an offlicence it will send a signal to someone"

"And then what?"

"I don't know, I'll probably get locked up somewhere" After a couple of hours chatting about what Ronnie had said to Aaron I decided to ask her on her opinion of what Ryan had blurted out this morning "So I asked Ryan this morning why Ronnie had done this and he said because he loves you... Like what do you think that means?" she laughed 

"It doesn't take an idiot to work that out" 

"go on?" I asked her as she passed me the bottle of Vodka she was sipping on 

"Well he obviously wants you to be straight edge" 

"Yeah I know that but why?" Lexus stole the bottle from my grip before taking a big swig

"Because he want's to get with you, but he doesn't want alcohol to be involved" I laughed then remembered back to when I went over that evening and he had kissed me and I wanted to kiss him just as much. Lexus waved her hand in front of my face as I was daydreaming "Here take this?" she handed me the bag which was full of bottles of alcohol "I have to run but keep that and call me when you manage to get that stupid thing off of your ankle" she said pointing to the monitor. I looked at the bag and smiled thanking Lexus "I'll see you later" I said to her before I shut the door. Where the hell was I going to hide this stuff, it's not like I could just put it in the fridge or the cupboard and Jacky wouldn't notice it. I got a text message from Jacky Get a taxi down to Derek's he put the address at the end of it which I remembered it being right next to a Taco Bell. I tied the handles of the bag before taking it into Jacky's room and stuffing it under the bed. I put my knee high boots on so that they would cover the thing on my ankle and headed out, I decided to walk it I mean it would only take me 20 minutes.

When I walked into Taco Bell they all looked up at me "What took you so long?" Ronnie asked me suspiciously  "Oh you know I just poped into a liquor store" I said sarcastically rolling my eyes at him. "Don't toy with him" Ryan said before patting the seat inbetween him and Ronnie. I sat down and Derek passed me a taco I thanked him and started to eat it. I hadn't even finished it and they were already pulling me up and dragging me to the car I got into Ronnie's car with Jacky, and Derek Ryan and Ron were in Ryan's car "Where are we going?" I asked really confused as to why I had just been rammed into the back of this car. Jacky giggled in the front seat and I kicked it making him arch his back "Hey stop that, you'll find out soon enough" I groaned and closed my eyes feeling the warm breeze from the window on my cheeks. I must have drifted off because when I woke up Jacky had the back door open and was shaking me. I rubbed my eyes and looked out of the window and I realised where we were. We were at the airport "Oh am I being deported now?" I asked, Jacky laughed and took my hand dragging me into the airport, Ronnie came over from the desk and handed me a ticket I read the ticket "We're going to New York? What?" I smiled and hugged Ronnie. He hugged me back "You're welcome" he chuckled. Jacky had apparently packed all of my clothes this morning which explains why he didn't come out of the bedroom until 12pm and to why he was wheeling a suitcase behind him. When we boarded the plane and sat down I asked Jacky where the other's were "They are getting the next flight because this one was full" The flight went really fast and it took me every ounce of strength I had not to say yes when the steward asked if I wanted anything to drink because half of it was alcoholic. I don't know why I didn't say yes, I think it was because this was Ronnie's idea to surprise me with this trip after I said I didn't want to go and maybe because I did still fancy him maybe a little and what Lexus had said this morning might have been right... I mean the other night he did say I love you, but I don't know whether he meant it in that context or not. 

New York was amazing! Ronnie had had everything sorted out, hotel and all I was super excited for tomorrow now I was finally going to spend NYE in NYC! I was beyond happy and I think everyone could tell "How about we go shopping before the other's get here?" I nodded eagerly as we walked into the huge shopping center "Maybe you can pick something to wear for tomorrow night?" I walked into a dress shop and looked through them all. Jacky pulled out a few which I tried on but none were very flattering but then Ronnie handed me one, it was White and had really thick shoulder straps which tied behind the neck and had silver studs dotted around it. I pulled it on and smiled at my reflection it fitted perfectly, I pulled back the curtain and showed them both "Woah that looks stunning!" Jacky said as I span around

"I know" I grabbed the price tag on the side of it "But I can't afford this!" I said shocked as I read the three figures on the tag I walked back into the changing room and took it off putting my jeans, boots etc back on before leaving the changing room I handed the woman at the entrance the dresses but Ronnie grabbed the dress I liked from her hands and walked over to the till "Ronnie what are you doing?" I asked as I followed him 

"Buying this dress for you" he said as he handed the woman at the till the cash. He handed me the bag and dragged me and Jacky over to the milkshake shop opposite.

I was sat sipping on my Oreo Milkshake when the other guys came in "Hi!" I cheered at the three of them Ryan came and sat next to me stealing my milkshake from my hands "Mmmm!" he murmered through the straw as he took a sip I snatched it back and flicked his face with the straw making milkshake spurt out all over his nose "Oops" I said sarcastically before letting him finish it off it was getting a little sickly anyway...
