Chapter 12: Party Supply Shopping, and Setting Up

Since its Thursday, after school, Colton and I agreed(surprisingly) to go home and wait for all the other boys to get home, so we can go shopping for the party. Jacklen and Charles decided to leave this morning instead of leaving Friday morning, so right now is the perfect time to buy all of the supplies and everything, so we can decorate the house tonight, instead of rushing to get everything done tomorrow. So, when Colton pulled into the garage, I stepped out of the car, and headed inside the house. I walked into the kitchen, and found Chad sittingIn the same exact spot as yesterday, except this time, instead of munching on dried Cheerios, he was eating dried Fruit Loops. So I went up to him, and said

" Hey buddy, are you excited to go supply shopping for your party today?"

He looked up at me, then said

" Ya! I am super excited!"

" so, since I promised I would buy you dumps of candy, tell me what your favorite candy of all time is."

He put his hand on his chin, and started tapping his index finger on it, really looking like he was deep in thought, then he finally said

" COTTON CANDY! COTTON CANDY! COTTON CANDY!"

" Really!? Cotton candy is one of my favorite candies of all time too. Ok, so when we are shopping for both of the parties, I will make sure we buy a lot of candy. Ok?"

He grinned, and I swear, in that moment, he looked exactly like Colton, but in a younger version. He replied

" Ok!"

I was just about to turn around, when all of a sudden I am getting lifted up off of the ground, and swung over the side of someone's shoulder. I heard Chad say

" Colton, stop being a bully, put Cleo down!"

I rolled my eyes, and said

" Colton, you jerk, put me down right now!"

" Nah, no can do Cleo, I told you on Tuesday that I would get you back for injuring my precious body, so this is my pay back."

" Wow Colton, you are so lame, you think throwing me over your shoulder and keeping me here is pay back!? You don't know what pay back is."

But, of course I spoke way too soon, because the next thing I know, we start moving, and I heard the sliding glass doors open to the backyard. In my head I am thinking

' what the heck is Colton planning to do?'

But, I soon found out, because all of a sudden, the only color I saw was blue. Then, I saw my reflection in the water of me hanging upside down, and I realized that I was hanging over the side of the pool! I started screaming

" Colton Stroud, put me down! Put me down right now!!"

" Now now Shorty, that's not a very polite way to talk to me, considering the fact that we barely know each other, I guess you are just going to have to learn your lesson the hard way."

I didn't even have time to reply, before I am plunged into the pool, gasping for breath under the water. I moved my arms, and kicked my feet all the way to the top of the pool, and I resurfaced. I started coughing, and when my breathing was ok, I looked up and saw a grinning Colton. I put a scowl on my face, and said

" Your such an ass Colton."

Colton kept smirking, and I decided to start swimming over to the edge of the pool so I could get out. I pulled myself up, stood up, and said
