Chapter 13: SHOPPING, and Getting Ready!!!

It's finally the end of sixth period, and when the bell rang, Alison and I bolted out of our chairs, eager to get out of there, and excited to start our shopping. I told Hannah and Olivia where we would all meet(in front of the school, where all the students cars are parked), so instead of meeting somewhere inside of the school where a lot of other people would be meeting and hanging out, we would just wait for each other outside of the school. When Alison and I made our way outside, we sat down on a stone bench, and waited patiently for Hannah and Olivia to come out. After about three minutes, they burst through the doors, and Hannah screamed out

" FINLLY IT'S TIME TO GO SHOPPING!!"

I started laughing, because everyone was staring at her like she was some crazy deformed monkey with three heads. Alison and I started walking towards them, and when we reached them, I said

" Ok, so Olivia, you have your own car that you drove here right?"

" Yes, but I have to pick my brother up from his middle school, and drop him off at my house, then I can come to yours."

At lunch earlier, I gave Olivia the house address(which I wrote down right before I left the house this morning), because she has a younger brother who needed to get picked up. I then said

"And as for Hannah and Alison, you two are coming with me in Colton's car for the ride home."

They both looked at each other at the same time, with big, wide eyes, and then started giggling like little three year olds. I rolled my eyes, waiting for them to stop giggling, but when it was clear they probably were not going to stop, I looped both of my arms through theirs, pulled them with me, and said

" Alrighty, lets go!"

Alison and Hannah would not stop giggling, that was until we started to approach Colton and his little 'group' he has. They automatically stopped giggling, and you could see they were trying their hardest to keep a strait face, but it was hard. I then started laughing, because who couldn't help laughing when you are looking at two girls who both looked like constipated hippos ready to explode, and it was like a chained reaction, because they both started cracking up once I started laughing. All of our faces were red from all of our constant, none stop laughing, and I had to admit, it felt really good laughing like that, it feels like it has been forever since I really had a good laugh, but then again, it feels odd also, because I am not with Sidney, and she is my best friend. We finally got to Colton, and when we stood their trying to control our laughter, Colton looked over at us, then back over at his group, and said

" Alright, I gotta go, see you guys later."

When Colton finished doing his weird bro handshakes, and bro man hugs with his friends, he walked over to the drivers side, and unlocked the doors. I sat in the passengers seat, and Hannah and Alison sat in the back. As we were pulling out of the schools parking lot, I couldn't help but ask Colton

" Just out of pure curiosity, why do guys always do the weird bro handshake, and back slap? It's weird."

Colton looked over at me, then said

" Bro handshake?"

" Ya, you know, when a guy grabs another guys hand, and shakes it really rough, then they both pull in for a back slap."

Colton looked at me again, then said

" It's just something guys do, why do girls always hug, and giggle at everything, it's because it's what girls do right?"
