Chapter 15: CPOV

<<<<<<<<Colton's Point of View of the Party>>>>>>>>

The music was blasting so loud, my eardrums were literally pounding, but I have been to so many party's like mine, that I have gotten use to it. I was just walking around the corner, when I saw some guy right up against a girl. Now, don't get me wrong, there are always girls and guys who end up making out at these kinds of party's, but for some reason, it looked like this girl didn't want to get close to the guy. I inched my way foward until I came close enough to them, and when I got a clear view, I saw it was Cleo. I watched, as the guy held a firm grip on her, and she tried to push him away, and I watched as his grip tightened so tight, I could see tears welling up in her eyes. That's it, that's enough, no one should touch her like that, and not just her, any other girl in general. Ya, I may be a jerk sometimes, and widely known as one of the schools top players, but I do not hurt girls...physically that is. I bolted foward, not even giving the guy a chance to even think, before he was pressed up against the wall, with me holding him by his shirt collar. I looked him in the eyes, and said

" She said no, and no means no! Got it!"

I got no response from the guy, so I shook him, and said

" Got it!!!"

The guy shook his head, then I said

" If I see you bother her again, you'll regret it!"

I let him go, and he left. I turned back over to Cleo, and I saw that her eyes were slightly wet, but not to the point of crying. I walked over to her, and said

" Are you ok, did he hurt you?"

She didn't look at me, instead she looked down at her wrist that was being covered by her other hand. I scrunched my eyebrows together, concerned about her wrist. I am not too sure why I am so protective over her, I just am. I guess it's because I don't know her full story, and even though she puts on the whole 'I'm bad ass, and I don't care what you think' facade, I know there is much more to her story that she is not telling me. Without looking at me, she said

" I'm fine, it's only a little scratch."

I don't believe her. I grabbed her arm, gently, and started pushing my way to the other side of the room, where there is a bathroom. When I reached it, I pushed open the door, and lifted her up and onto the counter. She looked slightly surprised, but quickly covered it up. I looked down at her arm that was being covered by her other hand, and I slowly peeled her hand away from her wrist. Right when I saw her wrist, I got so mad, that I tightened my hand into a fist, and slammed it onto the counter top next to Cleo. I am so pissed! How could anyone ever do that! Her arm literally had purple finger marks from how tight that guy was holding her, and she had nail marks from the indents of his nails on her skin. I am going to kill that guy if I ever see him come near her again! Why in the world am I acting like this!? I never, and I mean never, act like this over a girl. When I slammed my fist down, Cleo slightly jumped, looking more alert then she was before, and she said

" Colton, calm down!"

I looked down at her, not able to control my anger, before saying

" Cleo, you call that a scratch!"

I watched as Cleo looked down at her wrist, just now realizing how bad that guy had hurt her. I saw how her eyes began to dampen again, and I couldn't take it, I can't take seeing her like this, so I gently grabbed her chin with my fingers, and moved her face so she was looking up at me again, and I said

" That bastard!"

I was furious! No one should ever treat a girl like that, ever! She looked me in my eyes, and said
