The following days went by real quick and osas was already catching up with her new work routine at the shop and things were going so well

It was a stress free job and most times they just have to display different fabrics and convince customers to patronize them

The fabrics were very exotic and expensive but most of the clients are rich and wealthy people so they can actually afford it

There's free lunch for staff everyday so Osas was barely even spending any money and she is always driving to work with her boss, she's not spending on transport either

She hasn't seen Raphael since he dropped her off at his mom's the other day and she's convinced that he is avoiding her on purpose. She could have sworn they got along the night before he brought her here.

They had dinner together and a nice conversation, so she didn't quite get why he is suddenly icing her out

Ivie was supposed to arrive on Sunday evening, Osas already got the hotel address from uncle mark.

While Mrs Erabor went to church service, osas stayed back and prepared her rice and peppered stew for Ivie. She packed the food and went to the hotel

When she got there, the receptionist told her that their school had not arrived yet so she decided to wait in the lobby

Three hours later they were still no show.
Osas got worried and started calling uncle mark

They said they left Warri by 8am and this is already 3 in the afternoon they should be here by now. Warri to Lagos is six to seven hours by road

Uncle mark's phone was not reachable and osas was almost losing her mind. The last time they spoke was when they were about leaving and now nothing.

When it was past six in the evening, Osas couldn't bear it anymore she called her mom on the phone and started lamenting

Her mom told her to wait why she calls the school principal to know if something is up

Something is definitely wrong. Why are they not here yet? It shouldn't take this long
And with the alarming rate of kidnapping along the expressway lately osas was imagining the worse

She blame herself for allowing Ivie travel alone
This is recklessly on her part she should have been on this trip with them. If only she wasn't so hasty to leave Warri for Lagos last month

While she was still pacing around the lobby.
Other schools representatives were trooping in, even far north states were already present so what could happened to her baby girl

Her phone rang and without looking she picked
She thought it was her mom calling back

"Hello mommy"

"Hi osas! Where are you?"
It was Mrs Erabor on the phone

"Oh hello ma., I didn't know it was you"

"Are you okay? You sound a bit shaky"
Osas cleared her throat

"Am fine, I'll be fine"

"Okay, so have you seen Ivie. How is she doing"

"Have not seen her yet" osas burst into uncontrollably tears

"Woah! Woah!!! Wait? What happened "

"She's not here yet, they are not here yet. I got here since 12 noon and I have not seen them. And her teacher's phone is not reachable"

"Okay calm down! Am sure they are on their way. They will be there soon so just calm down"

"It's not supposed to take this long ma, I know how long it took me to get to Lagos the other day and it wasn't this long at all, am so worried ma, I don't even know what to think"
