When Destiny finally arrived at the Heights Camp, she took great care to follow the directions she had been given and made her way toward the GrandTree Arena. Exiting the Camp, she started capturing numerous Pokemon, left and right. Although she had already caught many of them earlier, her goal was to complete the task list on her Pokedex.

While feeding her Pokemon, she couldn't help but notice a higher number of Alpha Pokemon than she had seen before. These Pokemon were stringent and stern, and she almost ran into a giant red bug Pokemon that was one of them. As she kept observing, she realized some Pokemon ran in packs and had a clear hierarchy. It was noticeable, especially since the Alpha Pokemon was always in charge. She found this fascinating and made a mental note to investigate this phenomenon further.

Destiny was on her way to The River's Edge when she noticed She had a few Pokeballs left. She saw the trees becoming denser as she walked, and the air relaxed. She took a break under a tree to make more Pokeballs.

As she was busy making the Pokeballs, a Geodude appeared out of nowhere and attacked her. Destiny was caught off guard and almost fell into the nearby river. However, Oshawott instantly used its body to protect her and took the hit from the Geodude. The Geodude fled after the attack, but unfortunately, Oshawott fainted due to the impact and because he hadn't been healed from another battle that Destiny had been in.

Destiny was panicking, but she had a couple of revives to keep Oshawott awake. However, she decided to keep Oshawott in its Pokeball for safety despite him being unhappy with the decision. Destiny trusted Staravia to keep her safe as they continued their way.

As they went on, Destiny kept catching new Pokemon until they reached The River's Edge, an area with nothing but sand, wood, and rocks connected to the other side of the land. Destiny was excited and confident while crossing the small land after catching some Pokemon living there. However, as soon as she got to the other end of the river, she immediately backed off when she saw an alpha Pokemon.

At first, Destiny didn't realize the gravity of her situation. The Alpha slept and thought she could pass through the area without noticing. However, her quick movements had awoken the Alpha, and it began to stir. Destiny froze in fear, hoping that the Alpha wouldn't spot her.

The Alpha looked around, scanning the area for any signs of danger. Destiny held her breath and stayed perfectly still, hoping the Alpha wouldn't detect her presence. But luck was not on her side. The Alpha caught a glimpse of her movement and began to move towards her.

Destiny knew she had to act quickly if she didn't want to be attacked. She scanned the area for any means of escape, but she was surrounded by dense boulders and a raging river with many Pokemon swimming around. Her heart sank as she realized that she was trapped.

Then she remembered something. She had a few unused Pokeballs in her backpack. Without a second thought, she inhaled one of her Pokeballs and took a deep breath. She wasn't sure if it would work, but it was worth a try.

With all her might, she threw the Pokeball at the Alpha. The Alpha, caught off guard, was sucked inside the Pokeball. Destiny couldn't believe her luck. She had managed to capture an Alpha Pokemon without even battling it.

She quickly escaped, crossing the river and the Alpha's territory without being noticed. When the Alpha broke out of the Pokeball, it was furious. It looked around in anger, trying to figure out what had happened. Destiny watched from the safety of the tree line as the Alpha ran around the area, destroying rocks and causing chaos in the water and sand. She knew she had been lucky to escape unscathed and made a mental note to be more careful.

"Good thing I was out of there before it did that," she said as she watched the Pokemon destroy the old hiding place where she had been hiding from it when it first woke up.
