The morning sun cast a warm glow over Forks as Ashley pulled up to Charlie's house to pick up Bella. With a sense of anticipation bubbling within her, she watched as Bella emerged from the front door, a smile spreading across her face at the sight of her younger sister.

Before Bella could respond, she leaned in closer, her voice lowered to a whisper. "Ashley, there's something you need to know about the Cullens," she confessed, her tone grave.
