As Carlisle led Ashley back to his office, the atmosphere was thick with an unspoken tension. Ashley's mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, her recent encounter with the young boy replaying in her mind like a vivid dream. She couldn't shake the feeling of disbelief that coursed through her veins, nor could she explain the inexplicable surge of energy that had flowed from her fingertips.

Once inside the sanctuary of Carlisle's office, Ashley sank into the plush chair, her mind still reeling from the events that had transpired. Carlisle regarded her with a mixture of concern and curiosity, his eyes probing hers for answers.

"How did you do it, Ashley?" Carlisle's voice was gentle, but there was an underlying urgency to his words. "How did you heal that boy without even touching him?"

Ashley tore her gaze away from her trembling hands, her brow furrowed in confusion. "I... I don't know," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "It just... happened."

Carlisle's brow furrowed in concern, his mind racing to find a logical explanation for the inexplicable phenomenon they had witnessed. Before he could delve deeper into the matter, however, the shrill ring of his phone shattered the silence, pulling them both back to the present moment.

With a resigned sigh, Carlisle retrieved his phone from his pocket, his fingers moving swiftly to answer the call. As he activated the speakerphone, Ashley listened intently, her curiosity piqued by the urgency in Carlisle's voice.

"Alice, what's wrong?" Carlisle's tone was laced with concern as he addressed the caller.

Alice's voice crackled through the speaker, her words rushed and urgent. "Carlisle, I had a vision," she began, her tone wrought with anxiety. "It was about you and Ashley."

Carlisle's heart skipped a beat at the mention of Ashley's name, his mind racing to comprehend the implications of Alice's revelation. "What did you see, Alice?" he pressed, his voice tinged with apprehension.

Alice's breath hitched as she recounted the details of her vision, her words painting a vivid picture of the events that had transpired earlier that day. "I saw you and Ashley in a hospital room," she explained, her voice trembling with emotion. "There was a young boy with a broken wrist, and you were asking him questions while Ashley examined him. And then... Ashley healed him, without even touching him."

A heavy silence settled over the room as Carlisle absorbed Alice's words, his mind grappling with the implications of her vision. Ashley's eyes widened in shock, her heart pounding in her chest as the weight of Alice's revelation washed over her.

"What... what does it mean?" Ashley's voice trembled with uncertainty as she turned to Carlisle, her eyes searching his for answers.

Carlisle's expression was grave as he processed Alice's vision, his mind racing to make sense of the inexplicable phenomenon they had witnessed. "Alice thinks... she thinks you might be a witch," he confessed, his words heavy with disbelief.

Ashley's breath caught in her throat at Carlisle's revelation, her mind reeling with the implications of Alice's vision. "A witch?" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper. "But... how is that possible?"

Before Carlisle could respond, a wave of uncertainty washed over them, the weight of Alice's vision hanging heavy in the air. And as they grappled with the unsettling truth of what lay ahead, the specter of uncertainty loomed large, casting a shadow over their once tranquil sanctuary.
