Together Forever: Roleswap! (Demon Priest Ruv x Criminal Sarv)

Chapter 3

*criminal Sarvente's POV (the next day)*

     When I wake up, I realize I am in my room, and not on the couch in the living room where I fell asleep. Ruv must have carried me. Damn. I should probably go and thank him.

     Once I get dressed and comb my hair, I go to the kitchen to get breakfast ready.

     It's around 5am (earlier than I normally get up), and Ruv normally doesn't get up until 6. Oddly, he's already awake today, and made breakfast, too (which he rarely ever does).

     "Morning, Ruv!", I say. "You're up quite early."

     "I thought I'd ask you if you would like to join me in masses today.", he says.

     Ruv knows I don't really like to pray (finding it boring), but I do it anyway because it makes him happy. He must be in a good mood today.

     "Sure. You also made pancakes? They look pretty good.", I say to Ruv.

     He attempts to smile, and serves me a few. They taste really good.

     "They taste great! Whaddya put in them?", I ask.

     "I turned your spice cake recipe into pancake form.", he says.

     "I guess I'll make these next time we want pancakes for breakfast, then.", I say.

     Once we both finish our spice pancakes, I help Ruv put his eyepatch ribbon on, and comb his hair. Then, he helps me partially tuck my hair under my hat.

     I decide to break the silence.

     "Thank you, for carrying me to my room when I was asleep last night.", I say to Ruv.

     He blushes.

     "C'mere!", I say and give him a hug. He smiles.

     After that, we head to the main part of the church to serve mass.

     I love spending time with him, even if it's while doing something boring. Nothing's boring when he's around.

     Wait, what?

     "Are you ok, Sarv?", Ruv asks me. "You seem to be a little pale." I must have zoned out.

     "Yeah, sorry, I think I zoned out for a second.", I assure him.

     After mass, we head back to the living quarters to eat dinner.

     "Why'd ya want me to join you in mass today?", I ask Ruv.

     "I'm in a good mood... It's nice, having you around.", he says.

     "Awww!", I say and give him a hug. He smiles for the third time today. That's the most times he's smiled in a day, I think. He must be hiding something from me.

     "Now I kinda feel like we need to do something I like together.", I tell Ruv. "Why don't we go out for dinner tonight? It's on me.", I say. "You can choose where we go."

     "Thank you, Sarvente.", he responds. "How about that burger place we went to a while ago?" says Ruv. "And, I must ask, have you been out stealing credit cards again?" 

     "Yeah, the burger place sounds fine right now", I say, ignoring the second question.

     We have a great time at the restaurant, and then head back to the church. Once we get back and change into our night clothes, we watch TV. Ruv lets me choose what we watch, since I paid for dinner.

     This time, Ruv falls asleep first. I don't wanna carry him back to his room, so I decide to turn off the TV and sleep on the couch with him.

     "Thank you for an amazing day.", I whisper to him, even though I know he can't hear me. Without thinking, I give him a kiss, and fall asleep before I realize what I did.
