Book info on PJO if you never read it yet. You can skip it if you read it before but not if you just started reading. Also, there will be some Greek Mythology in this series.

There is some Roman mythology in this book though I think you just need to know the Roman names of the Greek gods and if you don't know, you will eventually know because they slowly tell you in the books so no research required unless you want to. After reading HoO, you can read the added PJO Books, so far: The Chalice of the Gods and The Wrath of the Triple Goddess, which is out this September. After that, you can read Trials of Apollo (ToA) which my friend, aka Clarisse, says it sucks. Oh well. I eat books up (no, not literally, I mean I just read a lot). Ok that's it I guess. Bye!
