☆Chapter 8(Charlie's POV)☆

Test tubes and beakers were seen everywhere on the tables. A cork board showing all the mixes and instructions on how to make various things. Not to mention the amount of gadgets and parts scattered around the room. As we walked deeper in the lab there were 6 big glass tubes holding what seemed to be more clones of Dib. One had really long hair, another had practically no hair at all, two didn't have anything or anyone in them, and another was in some royal outfit despite the others wearing the typical black coat and blue shirt. The last one was locked up and was not visible, it had a big engraving on it saying "Do not open ZADR inside". "Wow! So this is where that nerd comes from huh! It sucks that he didn't know about this for like 12 whole years now." Sour Kandi said. "They all look different. I wonder why. Maybe they're all failed experiments- crap that last one is broken and has no one in it! I didn't even notice that 7th one!" I exclaimed. "Uh oh. That can't be good." Sour Kandi said now realizing the situation. "Well I'm out of here! You can fend off whatever evil Dib thing by yourself Charlie, I believe in you bye!!" Sour Kandi said immediately running out of the lab. "Sour Kandi wait-*sigh* guess I'll have to find that thing. It should be roaming in here somewhere." I say now walking towards a sound I thought I had heard. The more I walked the more dark it became as I went deeper into the labyrinth of lab equipment. See what I did there? Wait did something or someone just tap me on the shoulder? Crap, I bet it's whatever broke out of that glass. "Oh boy! It feels great to finally be out of that thing! And I have a girl to accompany me?! What fun! A cute one too! What's yours name,broad? Mine's ZIB MEMBRANE, ALTERNATE UNIVERSE DESTROYER! That's in all caps by the way." A boy, that resembled Dib but with a yellow shirt with a grey expressionless smiley face printed on the front, he also had a shorter haircut and instead of having one big fin-like thing on his head, he had two splitting into something that resembled antenna from the top of his head,and a creepy grin that stretched up from ear to ear."Who the heck are you?! Get away from me! Are you the thing escaped that tube?!" I ask now about 5 feet away from him. "Couldn't I have made myself more clear? I'm ZIB MEMBRANE, ALTERNATE UNIVERSE DESTROYER. And yes of course I escaped that horrid tube. I wanna know more about you. Like how you're cute and also why you're here." Zib said. This guy clearly wasn't all there. "I went here to explore, the Dib variant downstairs is a good friend of mine and I was just looking around the house for a bit. Guess I wondered a bit far. Also why are you an alternate universe destroyer?" I ask, much calmer. "You're one of those maskies, aren't ya? Explains why that paper is covering up that pretty face of yours! About that destroyer thing, yeah I've successfully demolished about 30 of those babies! Including my own, that's where it all started. If you're wondering if I'm gonna destroy this one too you'd be right. You could help me if you want. Two is always better than one!" He exclaimed. I run out of the lab after hearing that. I also lock the door behind me, just so no chaos breaks loose. I can hear him yell at me to come back, but who cares about that loser! He's clearly not mentally stable. I hear the sound of faint weeping from downstairs. I wonder what happened, so I walked down the steps to be greeted with Sour Kandi asking me what to do about Dib sobbing on the couch. "I'll handle it, you talk to the professor. Maybe attempt to solve anything about all this." I tell her. "Uhhh yeah about that......you know what I'll just um...talk to the professor like you said never mind." Sour Kandi says, perplexed. I wonder why. Did she know the professor before all this or something? Weird. Anyways time to attempt to comfort the little guy.

The "seven Dib variants" are inspired by the seven evil exes from one of my favorite franchises, Scott Pilgrim! The anime adaptation just recently came out on Netflix, I hope people catch this cool little reference I made!
