I like making plans
and breaking them like
I have all the time
in this world, with you.
I like adding secret doors, window-
gardens, and a long list of DIY projects
to our castle in the air;
on long drives, with you.
I like ordering new things at cafes, knowing
you'll be my black knight, if I can't finish.
I like being holed up on weekends,
calling shots like the P5 in UN; as you fish
endlessly for something, we both
wanna watch.
I like thinking up new recipes for dinner,
as you make your way home
from work, something I thought I'd never do.
I like being this woman you call, 'wife'
more than I thought, I ever would.
Will you call me crazy if I say,
I like this life we are building
one day at a time; even if
our days are numbered, and
forever is not guaranteed?
I would have.
