.i ku'i mi'o ba kavbu lo jbama bende vau ta'i ma1
asked that same junior officer while they
all were waiting for a mug of refreshing
energy as none of them had breakfast yet
(it was an early morning and the bar
                                                                                            wasn't crowded yet)

.i mi'o ba facki lo kernelo ku .i lo stura cu randa2
                                                                                            replied Trinat and everyone nodded

.i ku'i lo kernelo cu cumki lo ka zvati ma3
asked a more junior officer as if to themself and
                                                                              Trinat replied
                                                                                                       .i mi'o co'a ze'u litru lo ka fakci di'u4

Trinat then made a pause as he saw a waiter returning to them with a full tray and said
.i ku'i .o'e xe'o mi'o ca salci re jefsurdei be mi'o lo kabri poi culno le livla poi vifne5

He then raised his mug and exclaimed
                                                                       .ui6

Everyone hit their mugs against each other's and emptied out the venomous contents in one go. It tasted somehow different, more refreshing than the one they receive each day and Trinat stopped seemingly the only waiter out here in the bar, gripping them by the elbow and asking what kind of energy it was, and they calmly replied
ti le livla noi mi'o selfu le samselse'u noi cnino zi'e tei'i ri noi klama ca le cerni .oi7

Trinat let loose the waiter's elbow out of mere astonishment and waiter went further their way, only snorting once as if seeing such a behavior for the first time: this bar must have been a recently opened one then

Trinat shook his head hurriedly as if trying to forget what had just happened—and everyone else stopped staring at an awkward situation their chief got into as it finally ended and they turned to their empty mugs instead

Soon enough though, the waiter went out again as there were appearing more and more clients now and with them, more and more waiters and waitresses, too. But Trinat could still distinguish a white- and pale-skinned figure of the waiter he offended, with their fluffy and fairly short hunter green hair being played by the myriads of lamps sending their multicolored lights from above to him, only to him... And then Trinat remembered he didn't even know who they actually were and felt ashamed he'd surely called them wrong, but assured himself it was just in his head and he couldn't possibly offend him—them, offend them any further... Ugh, he did it again...! He was so mad at himself he wanted to hit his forehead—but couldn't in front of all those juniors... He was supposed to be an example, a role model everyone in his crew should follow, but it was so hard to not make the same mistakes over and over again... The only one in front of whom he could feel free to commit mistakes and who always forgave him was Goe—and his heart sank as he remembered his dear friend again, he wanted to have him near now, to just talk and talk, talk and talk, about nothing in particular, just getting off everything he had on his mind, right in front of Goe, to just show him how much he was worried and scared about him, how much he was afraid, terrified even—but then one of the officers sitting next to him pushed him in his side to draw his attention and asked to call for the waiter again

Trinat was waving and waving in now a completely full hall until the same old waiter came up to them and with a scornful glance thrown at Trinat, asked what else they wished for

.i xe'o mi'o djica lo nu reisku ma vau mi'o kakne lo ka zukte fau lo no mi'o pu pinxe le pa kabri poi se e'ande .i mi cusku lo nu xe'o mi'o na pu ze'u zvati le barja zi'e na djuno ma vau se zukte bu'u le punji noi lau'imsa8

The waiter only sighed and said
.o'e selgi'a mi fau lo nu do nitcu lo drata ku9

Everyone looked at Trinat who just shrugged at that suggestion of the waiter's, but nonetheless stood up and followed them—everyone wanted to join him too, but the waiter turned to them and said, "Only one can go"—with such a broken English accent it made Trinat swallow hard and barely stand on his own feet—as the waiter appeared just in time to hold him back from falling down and both proceeded further, across the entire hall—until they reached a small unnoticeable backdoor the waiter invited Trinat to go through with such a sweeping gesture it made Trinat feel like vomiting and wanting to get away so far as possible—but the waiter took him by the hands and both noiselessly disappeared behind the backdoor with even the sound of a key locking being unheard in those myriads of flows of the cold speeches, hot arguments, and heated discussions flooding the entire hall and covering one's ears with deafness even the deepest yawn couldn't take away

1. How are we gonna catch the bomb gang though?
2. We'll find its center and the whole organization will surrender
3. But where that center may be?
4. We're gonna go on a long journey to find that out
5. But for now, let's just celebrate the two weekends with these mugs full of energy
6. Cheers! (But literally means Yay! as there's no separate word for it in Lojban)
7. This is the energy we serve to the new clients and especially to those who've come early in the morning (if you didn't know that)
8. We just wanted to ask what we could do next if we'd drunken the only bottle allowed—I mean, we just have never been to a bar before and don't know what is usually done in a place like this...
9. Follow me if you need anything else
