Larkin's POV:

I came round to see the wolf and my sister staring down at me. The look on the wolf's face looked anxious. She whined and nuzzled me. Kind of comforting. I managed to sit up annd hugged her.

"Thank you, Livvy," I whispered into her ear.

The wolf smiled and licked me gently on the shoulder. That felt strange but comforting, too!

"Where are we?" I asked.

"Still at School," said Kinsey hugging me.

I saw a teacher come over. It was MRS Dixie. She saw Olivia as wolf and petted her head.

"I saw everything," she said. "Are you okay, Larkin?"

I shrugged. "Not sure."

"Olivia was a hero," said Kinsey. "If it wasn't for her, Larkin would probably be worse."

Olivia nuzzled me again. I hugged her. "Thank you, Livvy!"

Olivia licked my cheek, looking at me.

"What?" I questioned.

The wolf put her paw gently on my knee.

"Ah," I said. "You are trying to tell me you love me?"

Kinsey giggled. "Yeah," she said. "Olivia is telling you she loves you."

I noticed the worried look on her face. She was whimpering.

"Aww," I said. "I love you, too!"

olivia looked surprised and gave me a cute questioning look. The wolf in my mind was prancing. Shame I couldn't shift quite yet.

"I do, Livvy!" I told her.

Olivia smiled, her teeth showing. That was cute!

Later, we were hanging out. Olivia was back in her human. She was blushing.

"What?" I questioned her again.

"You said it," said Olivia.

"That I love you?" I asked.

"Yeah," said Olivia. "I wasn't sure that you were going to say it!"

Kinsey smiled. "I knew you loved him, Olivia."

"How?" Olivia asked.

"The way you've acted round him.," giggled my sister.

I chuckled. "I think she got it!"

Olivia nodded. But had sadness in her face.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I don't know what love feels like," said Olivia. "All I had in life is nothing but hate. I guess Jackson and Delilah love me. But no one else does in our pack."

I hugged her. "Me and Kinsey care. So does Mackenzie and her carers."

"That's true," said Olivia. "But that's all."

She looked to the ground. I hugged her.

"It's okay," I said. "You have us. It's okay to cry if you want. We will understand."

"Agreed," said Kinsey joining our hug.

Olivia blinked her eyes. "But crying is weak!"

"Holding it in is weak," I said.

Olivia looked close to crying. We held her close. Then she let go of the tears.

"That's it," said Kinsey rubbing her back. "It's okay!"

Olivia looked relaxed as she cried. It was like she bottled it up for ages. Bless her. I did feel bad for her. I thought I had it bad.

***

After a while, Olivia calmed down and relaxed. I looked at her tearstained face.

"Is that better now, Livvy?" I asked.

"Sort of," admitted Olivia.

"She smiled slightly. Then sighed.

"What's up?" I asked.

"I don't feel like going home," said Olivia. "But I have to!"

"But we will see you for school tomorrow," said Kinsey. "We will meet you where we always meet. Maybe with food?"

"Okay," sighed Olivia.

Then it went quiet for a bit.
