┆--Toshinori Yagi POV--┆
"Murder. Why is it always irrational murder." The pro hero grumbled, rubbing the back of his neck as the aching sensation faded. His presence at the station was becoming more frequent, and the Hero Commission's president was growing more controlling. Demanding. The whole situation was making him tired.
The current objective was getting a second opinion, but every higher-up seemed to act in agreement with the villain girl's extreme punishment, like a damn hivemind. Their ranking only made the situation more unethical, contrary to those with morals against this decision, who are instantly put under a microscope.
They were suspicious of us. Almost accusingly. But for the sake of our morality and jobs. Our lips were locked. So far they've left everyone involved alone, it was like avoiding a violent witch hunt, knowing well to steer clear of the sharp tips of the pitchforks that were the HPSC's gaze.
What do kids call it nowadays, 'smile and wave?', something like that. Just be Inconspicuous.
He sat at the desk in one of the few cubicles, his old friend swiping a police tablet nearby. Legs crossed as he stood.
"ℂ𝕙𝕖𝕔𝕜 𝕚𝕥. 𝕀 𝕗𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕕 𝕒 𝕔𝕠𝕚𝕟 𝕞𝕒𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕖 𝕨𝕙𝕚𝕝𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕤𝕡𝕒𝕔𝕖𝕕 𝕠𝕦𝕥." The tablet transmitted with a fuzzy echo. Its source of location a small red dot on the screen, the tracker speaker glitchy but intelligible.
"How are they...?" Toshinori asked calmly, glancing at Tsukauchi from his laptop. The hero already knew the 'situation' as it was happening, his successor couldn't help but keep tabs on the villain.
Polterheist, or known as N/n. She was quite the dangerous loose cannon, misguided, lacking the authority that most kids would receive. But she was no bad apple. Not in Toshinori's eyes, no siree. She was merely a lost soul who needed moral guidance.
And to have her gun taken away. That only worsened her image. But not enough for an instant capital punishment, far from it. And Toshinori could not stress the amount of FAR it was.
"Acting like teenagers." The detective replied with the faintest grin, "I had a feeling that kid would be all over her when we allowed this. It's against the law, but it's no bank robbery. Just average teenager hijinks after sunset."
He nodded, it was exactly as he had predicted. She's still a teenager. No more, no less. Not some public enemy number one terrorist, something else must have ticked off the HCSP's president towards this spontaneous decision.
Was it her past robberies? Ingenium? The USJ breach? Everything combined most likely.
Oh well, Toshinori was positive they'd find a way to bring real justice to the girl in the end. Hopefully, influences Madam President's sudden extreme decision towards a more... legal conclusion.
