Our call for help sent Wanda and Pietro to our aid. They took the far end of the intersection to defend.

By the grunting traveling through his earpiece, Barton was working on joining us as well.

Shaking off my pain, I climbed to the hood of the minivan. I resumed aiding in the fight.

"Hold on!" said Stark, seemingly out of nowhere, "Cap misses Clara? Why? What am I missing?"

"Should we tell him?" asked Natasha.

"If we must," I laughed.

"You know how every Friday night Steve would go to the gym?" explained Barton, "Yeah, complete lies."

"Well, wait, sometimes we went to the gym together," I interrupted, "So, it's not a complete lie."

"Who goes on a date to a gym?" muttered Stark.

"Point is: they've been seeing each other," said Natasha. She paused. "Wait, are you dating yet?"

"I think," I said, sparing a glance to Steve.

"Well, it hasn't been made official," he said in return, tilting his head.

Momentarily pausing, I caught the shield in a portal, saving it from flying into the clouds. Sending it back into Steve's hands, our eyes met briefly before having to focus on fighting.

"I thought the night of the party made us official?" I asked.

"The original plan was to ask you to be my girlfriend after the party," said Steve, "I had set it up with Sam--"

"Sam! I didn't ever tell him what was going on," I said in a panic. I dropped a robot and put my hands on my hips. "Do you think he's okay?"

"I'm sure he saw the news," said Barton.

Aligning us on track, Tony asked, "Is this you two making it official?"

"I'd like it far better if we didn't do it in the middle of saving the world," I admitted to him.

"And also not with you all listening in," added Steve, nodding.

"But it's so romantic!" said Tony.

"What Stark is saying is that we all want to hear it," pleaded Natasha.

Steve shook his head at our friends. "Back to work, guys," he said.

Eskrima sticks in her hand, Natasha ran down a street leading to the intersection, battling robots that blocked her way.

"Send it!" I yelled.

Swinging the shield around a last time, Steve let go, whipping it my way with enough force to keep it in flight. Taking advantage of that, I opened a couple portals, destroying a few robots along the way. The shield was sent through a final portal into Natasha's waiting hand, where she used it to break the foot of a robot, then jam it between its chin and pop its head off.

Out of the initial ten robots attacking Steve, three remained. Destroying two with an impressive flip through a portal, I designated the last one for myself, and for a chance to show off.

"Watch this, Steve!"

My voice alerted not only Steve, but the robot, who turned to attack me instead. Copying his move from our last S.T.R.I.K.E. team mission, I performed an aerial and brought my foot down on the robots head. Relaxing from my tense stance, I looked back at Steve for praise.

Closing the gap between us, Steve clapped impressively, "You learn quick."

"You teach well," I complimented.
