A new team meant training was entirely necessary. We needed to get familiar with one another, in both in our work and out of it. Steve, Sam, Wanda, Natasha, Vision and I all lived within the Avengers Facility. We got accustomed to each other very quickly, simply because of how often we saw each other.

Team building was scheduled every Thursday at nine a.m. For three months straight, Steve and I remained the only two to show up.

Rhodey was always excused, as he was almost always on a mission for the government.

Everyone else had an excuse ready for when we inquired as to why they didn't show up. Soon, they started to swap excuses.

One day, I mused, "Maybe that's the issue," I paused, blocking a kick from him with the palms of my hands. I threw my forearm up. I grunted as his fist hit my bicep. I took a mean shot for his privates. He laughed. Smiling, I said, "We have scheduled training days."

Steve dropped to the floor, swinging his leg around. I jumped over it, spinning, gaining momentum for a kick. He tackled me before I could. He pinned my arms to the ground.

"So you're saying...?" he asked.

"We lie," I said. I butted my head into his chin, pushing him on his back. I smiled down at him. "That's how we get them together."

My idea slid into action the following morning. Steve sent out a message in our group chat, calling for a group meeting in the main hangar. We waited together. I sat on the stairs. He paced in front of me. Thirty minutes later, Rhodey, Sam, Wanda, Vision, and Natasha met us.

"Avengers--" started Steve.

"Get together?" I asked.

"Meet up?" teased Sam.

"Gather in a certain spot?" asked Natasha.

Steve stared at me, then Sam, then Natasha, shaking his head. "You're all--"

"Little shits?" finished Rhodey. "Yes. Yes, they are."

"What are we doing here this early?" asked Sam, suppressing a yawn. "Clara and I had a Rocky marathon last night."

Steve pouted. "Clara, you know Rocky was on my list."

"Sam declared it was 'don't bring your significant other' night," I defended. "Yell at him, not me."

"Back to the point..." said Natasha loudly.

"Ah, yes," said Steve. "The information Clara and I found is that you've all been avoiding training days. That can no longer happen. We need to learn how to work together, who we work best with. By doing a team building exercise--" Cue the groans. "--we will succeed in that."

"Come on, guys, it won't be that bad," I said.

"Thank you, Clara," said Steve, flashing a smile in my direction.

"She's required to help you out, she's your girlfriend," scoffed Sam.

"I think you'll all change your opinion once you see our training room," said Steve.

"We're not doing it outside?" asked Wanda.

"Don't you think the Avengers Compound deserves an actual training space?" I asked, standing. "Follow us, ladies and gents."

Steve and I crossed the Compound. In the West hangar, located in the very back, half a mile of a pure training center waited to be broken in. I entered a four digit number into the keypad, allowing the steel door to swing open. We piled in. The lights flickered on.
