CHAPTER 26: DYNAMICS 2

After their date, Jin had dropped Tae at his appointment. He accompanied him upstairs so that he could see his other boyfriend. Tae keyed in the password and opened the door, inviting Jin in. The two boyfriends stood at the doorway, shocked by what they were witnessing. Namjoon had Kook backed against a wall. The two were clearly making out with one of Joon's legs in between Kook's. "Aaah, Joonie!"

"Mmm, mmmh!" Jin cleared his throat. He was smirking watching these two who were so lost in each other that they didn't hear them come in. "Fuck, Tae... I....when did you get back?" Kook asked, his cheeks turning the deepest shade of red. "Why do you sound like a boyfriend who was found cheating, baby?" Tae asked in return, with a smirk matching Jin's.

The two laughed watching Kook act all shy. Namjoon, on the other hand, had a smug look on his face. "You two, stop teasing my bunny and go back to where you came from." Joon said. Tae gasped dramatically and held his chest. "Jinny, did he just chase us away? I guess I'm not his bear anymore!" Tae started fake sobbing.

Jin and Namjoon laughed. Tae placed the bag with food on the counter. "Kookie, Jin and I packed some quesadilla for you. I wasn't sure if you'd eaten." It was Namjoon's turn to act like he was hurt. "We didn't know you were here sneaky pants." Jin said, walking to Kook and fixing his hair. "How was your day my love?" Jin asked

"It was okay. I was a little busy but nothing I couldn't handle.  Then, when I left the office, I found Joonie waiting for me." Kook couldn't help the bunny smile he was wearing. Just by looking at him, one could tell that he had wanted this for a while.

"Well, I only came to say hi to you. It's pretty late, so Joonie and I are gonna leave." Jin said, proceeding to press a sweet kiss on his lips. "Why do I have to leave? I want to stay." Joon said, trying his best to pout. They all laughed as Jin dragged him to the door. They bid each other goodbye and the two boyfriends left, leaving the husbands alone.

Tae had taken a shower, and he was now cuddled up with his husband. "How was the date, Taetae?"

"It was really fun, Kookie. Did you know Jin has another mansion? He took me there, we cooked and watched a movie in his home theatre. It was really good." Tae gushed. "Yeah, he took me to the mansion sometime back, and I had the same reaction. I can't believe he let go of that house to live with the others. I mean, their house is nice too but the mansion has very nice aesthetics." Kook replied.

Tae knew he was overreacting, but he couldn't help but feel sad now. Initially, he didn't get along with Jin because it felt like he was only interested in Kook. He couldn't help but have the same thoughts now. He did everything with Kook first. He took Kook to the mansion first. Why the hell was he getting these doubts only with Jin?! He didn't understand.

"Baby, is everything okay? Why are you sad?" Kook asked. After the Busan incident, he had been very careful not to hurt Tae again. That's why today he didn't mention Namjoon was coming over. He noticed that Tae was thinking about something and he was sad. Did he say something wrong?

"Kookie, I just remembered I have to go to work tomorrow....why me?!" Tae fake cried. He knew Kook and the others were treating him different ever since they came back from Busan. He had vowed to himself that he didn't want to worry them anymore with his insecurities. So he had to cover up for being caught showing his emotions.

"What? But it's a Saturday. We were supposed to spend time with the rest." Kook who fell for Tae's trick couldn't help but also be sad. Tomorrow they were all supposed to meet at the mansion and have a date. They couldn't really go out to avoid the tabloid gossip as they were still getting to know each other.

"I know Kook. I wasn't planning on going but when Jin asked me for a date today I really wanted to go. So I postponed a client's order. I forgot that it's due on Monday." Tae explained. Technically, he had postponed the order, but only because it was due on Wednesday. But he needed a way out from tomorrow's gathering. He had a feeling he would ruin it like he did Busan. He needed to give them time to bond with Kook without messing it up for them.

"Okay, how about I come with you tomorrow then? That way you won't be sad for missing the date?" Kook asked. "No Kookie, you go for the date. I know I'll disappoint them if I say I'm not going. They will feel bad if they hear you aren't going too. You need to go and make them happy. Make sure they forgive me, okay?" Tae said trying to act all cute.

"I'm sure they'll understand baby. Are you sure you don't want me to come with you?" Kook asked. He didn't want Tae to feel left out. "I'm sure hubby. If I finish the painting early, I'll join you guys, okay?" Kook nodded. Tae on the other hand knew he would finish the painting early. He had started it last week after all. His plan was to join them in the evening just to make sure they weren't suspicious. He had decided that as long as he loves them, he can sacrifice  for them.

Tae picked up his phone and opened their group chat.

Tae:

Hi guys, I'm sorry I won't be able to come tomorrow. I have a painting to finish. It's required on Monday. But I hope you guys have fun. I'll join you once I'm done with it. I love you.

Chim🥰:

No! I was looking forward to spending the day with you. I haven't seen you all week!

Seokie🌞:

Should we come and keep you company instead, love?

Hubby♥️:

He said no to that already Seokie. But he promised to join us as soon as he is finished.

Joonie 😍:

All the best with the painting baby. If you don't show up by 4:00pm we are coming to the gallery.

Yoonie🥺:

What kind of date is this if you aren't showing up? I want you and Kookie to come. The others can go to work for all I care.

Jinnie:

Be nice Yoongi. I am sure he is also sad not to be showing up. We will be waiting for you Sweetheart. Make sure to share a photo of the painting 🤭

While Yoongi's message had made him smile, he couldn't help but be relieved that they hadn't pressed the matter.
