Kol felt his heart clenched tightly in his chest as took in Anastasia's bloodied, burned and broken appearance. It took every willpower he had to not shred Alaric Saltzman into pieces when he first saw Anya on the ground, struggling to remain awake. The only thing holding him back was the worry he felt for the siphon.

Using his vampire speed, Kol ran out of the school and didn't stop until he reached the woods behind Mystic Falls High School. With Klaus and the Salvatores keeping Alaric busy, Kol hopefully didn't have to worry about him attacking them, which is why he didn't bother running all the way back to the mansion before healing her.

Gently Kol lowered himself and Anastasia down to the ground. Sitting down on his knees, Kol positioned her upper body to lie over his knees while he continued supporting her back with one arm. That's when he got the first proper look at her injuries and for the first time in Kol's immortal life, the sight of blood made him feel discomforted.

On the right side of Anastasia's temple she had a deep gash that caked her blonde hair with crimson. Blood also coated her white knitted turtleneck from two stab wounds by her abdomen. Underneath the collar of her shirt, Kol could see a nasty bruise forming in the shape of fingers. The smell of burnt flesh also reached his nostrils, bringing Kol's attention to the burn marks surrounding her wrists.

Anastasia let out a whimper and that brought Kol out of his frozen state. Without another moment of hesitation he bit into his wrist and placed it over her mouth, "Drink for me, darling," he urged her while his mind drifted to the conversation he had with Nik just before they split up.

"Kol," Klaus said, stopping his little brother by placing a hand on his shoulder. In the meantime, the Salvatore brothers continued walking. "It's important you get Nastya out of there and far away from Alaric-"

"Have some faith, brother," Kol rolled his eyes, giving the hybrid a cocky smirk; he'd not even let his brother know that he was also worried about the siphon's life. "I've got this."

"You need to understand, Kol," Klaus said and for a moment, Kol could have sworn he saw pain flash across his face, "she's hurt. You need to get her away from here and heal her quickly. Do not wait."

"Your wish is my command," Kol said mockingly. "Try not to have too much fun killing mother's plaything without me."

Kol let out a sigh of relief when he felt Anastasia move and saw her wounds close up. Weakly she reached up and tried to push his wrist away, Kol muttered, "Just a little more, princess."

Once satisfied she'd received enough vampire blood to heal all her wounds, Kol lifted his arm and the bite mark slowly disappeared. Gazing down at Anya, he couldn't help the possessive feeling that washed over him when he saw some of his blood dripping down the corner of her mouth.
