Anvi, perched in the VIP stands, could feel the excitement coursing through her veins, a sentiment shared by her companions, Nataša and Agastya, as they awaited the start of the match.

Backstage, the tension was almost tangible in the dressing room where the players, clad in their team colors, were a bundle of nerves. It was their first match of the season, and the weight of expectations rested heavily on their shoulders. The clock ticked down, and soon it was time for the captains to make their way to the center of the field. Manish Pandey was next, joining forces with Lewis. They fought valiantly, adding 20 runs to the tally. However, Varun Arora, the Titans' young sensation, had other plans. With a cunning delivery, he enticed Lewis into a risky shot, and Shubman, with youthful exuberance, soared to make the catch. Deepak Hooda walked out to the middle, his bat ready to do the talking. But just as their partnership began to look threatening, Rashid Khan, the Titans' spin wizard, broke through, trapping Hooda leg-before-wicket. The commentator marveled, "Incredible! Krunal Pandya was next in line, and he, along with Badoni, fought tooth and nail, pushing the score to 156. A brief interlude later, the Titans' openers, Shubman and Matthew Wade, emerged from the pavilion, their eyes set on victory. They scored a quick 4 runs, but Chameera, with a vengeance, struck back, claiming Shubman's wicket as he was caught by Hooda. The young batsman walked back, dejected, without scoring. Hardik, the Titans' skipper, was next to bat, and he, along with Wade, steadied the ship, amassing 72 runs. But in a twist of fate, Krunal Pandya, bowling for the Super Giants, lured Hardik into a false shot, and Manish Pandey made no mistake in taking the catch. Rahul Tewatia was the new man in, and he, along with Miller, launched a counterattack, taking the score to a formidable 138. As the stadium lights dimmed, Shubman returned home, a shadow of disappointment clouding his features. Anvi, ever the supportive presence, inquired gently, "Are you okay?"

Shubman's voice was tinged with regret, "I couldn't contribute today, Anvi."

With a tender touch, Anvi cradled his face, her words a soothing balm, "I understand your disappointment, but remember, the season is long, and I have no doubt you'll shine in the matches to come."

Shubman nodded, a silent vow to rise above today's setback. Anvi's kiss on his forehead was a silent promise of her unwavering faith in him.

Exhausted, Shubman retreated to his room, the day's events weighing heavily on him as he succumbed to the comfort of his bed. Anvi watched over him, a smile gracing her lips as she planted another kiss on his forehead, a gesture of love and support.

Later, as she returned to her room, she found Shubman, in a vulnerable moment, seeking solace in her pillow. She couldn't help but chuckle at the endearing sight.

Slipping into her pyjamas, Anvi joined him in bed, gently reclaiming her pillow. In response, Shubman instinctively wrapped his arms around her, seeking her warmth in his slumber. Anvi's heart swelled with affection as she observed his peaceful expression, his hair falling softly across his forehead.
