1st Lesson

The day had come, today was the day that Lydia had become of age, she woke up with her owl singing as loud as possible.

"Blueberry, please not to loud"

As soon as she woke up, she put on her school uniform and left her dorm to see the other 7th year Hufflepuff students.

Before she could say hello to any of them, poppy came up from behind her with a present and card.

"Happy Birthday Lyds" she said with a huge smile that you couldn't help but find adorable to an extent.

"Thank you Poppy"
"I didn't think I'd make it to be the big 18"

" I have a brilliant day planned for you"
Poppy had always been a charmer since Lydia had met her in their 5th year.

The two girls left their common room with their arms linked together as they headed to the first class of the day which was Defence against the dark arts with professor Hecat.

As soon as they reached the DADA tower, Lydia spotted another face that she had missed for so long.

He had grown tall and very handsome, Lydia couldn't help but admire that he was now muscular.

"Hi you, it's been a while"

The student turned around and gave a flirtatious smile back to Lydia which made her stomach twist with excitement.

"Well well if it isn't the most charming witch in our year"
"I've missed you Lyds, how have you been?"

"I'm very well now that I have seen you Sallow"

Sebastian had changed his ways since 5th year after the death of his uncle Solomon.

His sister Anne had become better from the curse that a certain dark wizard had casted on her all those years ago and she was back at hogwarts with a smile on her face.

"Anne, it's good to see you back at hogwarts again, how are you?"

Anne turned around and hugged Lydia.

"I'm very well thank you Lydia, I heard that it's your birthday today and I'd like to take you, Poppy, Natty and Imelda to the three broomsticks for a butterbeer after classes"

Lydia thought for a moment.
"I'd like that very much as I have missed my girls very much"

"Brilliant, I shall inform Natty and Imelda of our plans"

As soon as she sat down, Professor Hecat came through the door.

"Good morning Class"

Lydia had missed DADA and she was excited to review her spells that she learnt.

"Today we will review every spells that I have taught you by having a friendly dual, I'll put you in groups"

Anne got Ominis
Sebastian got Poppy
Natty got Leander
Imelda got Arthur

But before professor Hecat could put Lydia with someone, the headmaster walked in and asked for professor Hecat to come outside the classroom for a quick chat.

Everyone looked at each other as if to say what was happening.

Before anyone could chat, professor Hecat walked back into class with the new students that nobody had seen before.

"Class, we have two new students joining us"
"Please let me introduce Madeleine and Alexei Murphy"

Nobody had seen these students in their common rooms, so everyone looked at each other as if to say okay, let's make them welcome.

Madeleine was a beauty with blue curly hair going over her shoulder, she was 5'5 and had a bust that made the guys drool.

Alexei was a 6'2 handsome guy with blonde hair and scar across his face.

"Ok everyone as I was saying, I'm putting everyone into pairs"

"Madeleine, you have Hobhouse"
"And Lydia, you have Alexei"

Lydia went up to Him.

"Hi, I'm Lydia, nice to meet you"
"Hi Lydia, nice to meet you, I'm Alexei"

As the class started, Lydia was watching the dualling matches.

" Lydia, Alexei, it's your turn"

They stood on a platform and waited for the que to start dualling.

"Levioso"
"Flipendo"
"Accio"

The match between Lydia and Alexei was Intense but they managed to stay on their feet after the match.

"Okay, that's enough entertainment for one day, class is dismissed"

Everyone got their things and left class, but before Lydia could leave, Alexei tapped her on the shoulder.

"You are quite the dualist, I'd like to be your friend, if that's okay?"

Lydia couldn't help but look straight into his eyes which were pure blue, she felt herself blush at looking at this handsome face.

"It's okay for us to be friends, I look forward to seeing you soon"
