Yesterday after hearing the doctor saying that someone close to us should know immediately of our pregnancy just in case something goes sideways made me think all night long, not about who to tell but about things going sideways... The anxious guy I am of course I spent most of the night tossing and turning, making Sofia not have a good rest aswell and when I saw I was just disturbing her I left the bedroom and went on the couch.
"What are you doing here?" I hear Sofia whispering in the dark room, after all it's still 5am "I was tossing and turning and I didn't want to disturb your sleep anymore..." "But the bed feels cold without you" "I'm sorry baby, I just wanted you to rest" "Mhm" "Come here" I welcome her under the blanket and she lays on my chest getting warm again "Sorry for leaving you" I mumble against her skin "What going on in this pretty head of yours?" She asks as she draws patterns on my chest "Just thinking about what the doc said yesterday" "I know...but we'll make it, peanut will make it" "I can't help but be scared and I'm sorry to dump all this on you" I say "I'm scared too Chris and it's ok, we can tell each other everything, don't worry about it. We promised to each other to always speak about our emotions" "You're right...I'm so sorry baby" "It's ok hun" "You know I love you more than anything in this world right?" "I do and I feel the same, although peanut is reaching your level" she tells me "I know. I love them already so much" "You're gonna be such a great dad" "I can't wait" "Love you" she mumbles in my neck right before closing her eyes. I lull her back to sleep by running my fingers gently on her back and from time to time kiss her head.
It's hours later when we talk about telling this to someone and we choose Sebastian and Scott, they are our brothers and best friends like Sofia says it's logical to tell them. So we called them up and told them to get their asses to our house for lunch. We desired to make some tacos, we had the taco shells already so we only have to heat them up a little and then we cut some tomatoes and cucumbers, we had the meat going, made some guacamole and washed some salad. "Hello!" Scott says walking in "Hi...you alone?" "Saw Seb turning in" he says as he gives me a bro hug "Hi bestie!" Sofia says hugging him tightly "Hey fam" Sebastian announces his presence "Hi man" We all hug out and stuff and then settle down at the table after about ten minutes once everything was ready.

"So are we here just because or..." Scott says "We need to talk" Sofia says taking a deep breath "What did we do?" Sebastian asks "Nothing wrong. We need to talk about something that is gonna stay in this room for a little more, no one else can now..." I say "Ok..." "Are you sick?" Sebastian asks worriedly "No I'm not, neither of us is. We've been suggested to tell this to someone close to us just in case something goes sideways and so they'll now to react calmly and help us" "Why am I scared?" Scott whispers "It's nothing bad guys..." I say "On the other hand...I'm three weeks pregnant!" Sofia says and we both smile brightly. Scott's mouth hangs agape while Sebastian drops his fork on the table "Shut the fuck up!" Scott screams "Really printesa?" (Princess) "Yup" "Awww congratulations!!!" We all get up and have a giant warm hug with them and then sit back. "Three weeks?" "Yeah so it's still very early..." "Yeah" "Doc says everything looks good, both mama and baby. He advised us to keep an eye on everything, like blood pressure, stress levels and being as healthy as she can in general, which she already is..." I explain "Sure, and ehh if we can do anything to help we're here, right Seb?" "You can bet on it"
After lunch the helped cleaning up and we all settled in the living room where we shouted them the first picture of our peanut and talked a bit more. "Maybe it reduce your stress and not do anything too hard you could hire someone to help you..." Scott says "That's something I wanted to talk to you about later" I tell Sofia pulling her closer to me "I think it's a good idea" Sebastian chimes in "Yeah, I could use some help, especially as the pregnancy progresses" Sofia says "we'll make some flyers" I tell her kissing her head "Uhuh"
The afternoon goes on with us relaxing and enjoying watching the snow falling as we sipped on our hot beverages in the living room. About an hour before dinner time we were alone again and we decided to just keep relaxing... "I can't wait to see your belly grow" I tell her as she's sitting on my lap and my hands are on her stomach "Mhm...it's not the only think that's growing" she says moving in my lap a little "Baby..." "You're the one that's horny..." "And you're just spurring me on..." "Then do something about it" she says giggling as she keeps moving on my lap "Fuck..." I whisper and decide to take action...so maybe we haven't really relaxed but it was a good evening nonetheless...
