However, Aria's visit didn't last long. Of course, at some point she asked me what actually happened. And well... now that it's out that I'm more or less one of the Avengers, I didn't see any point in lying to her. So I told her everything - from Colin's threat, to how he supposedly kidnapped Peter, to the time we fought on the roof and I got staked and fell off the roof. I have never seen Aria as speechless as she was in that moment. But this speechlessness only lasted for a short time. Suddenly she jumped up and said she had to go to the office immediately and talk to the big bosses. She wouldn't allow her and everyone else in the office to continue working under this madman. Ultimately, questions would arise anyway if Colin didn't show up at the office on Monday and he definitely won't - the others have already taken care of that. Before she left I sent Tony a message and asked him to meet her at the office. Because even though Aria can be very convincing, I fear that Colin somehow bribed the big bosses, otherwise he would never have been able to hold his job for so long. Having Tony there as the head of the Avengers definitely can't hurt. Not long after Aria leaves, James and Peter return. Even at first glance I can see that something is wrong with both of them.

Victoria: Why do you two look like you've done something bad?

James tries to hold back a laugh as he sits down next to me and signals Peter to speak. Oh God, what has Peter done?

Peter: We didn't do anything bad. But I have to tell you something.

Victoria: Ok......

Peter: I... I have a girlfriend. MJ, you saw her when you dropped me off at the meeting point at school.

Is that what he has to tell me? Why does this make him so nervous? It was about time he tried his luck with her, as long as he's had a crush on her.

Victoria: Really? I'm so happy for you Peter.

Peter: Really? No big sister lecture about how I'm too young for a girlfriend?

God, do I really seem so stuffy to him? After all, he is seventeen and definitely old enough for his first girlfriend.

Victoria: No, unless you really want to have a sisterly lecture.

Peter: No, thank you.

I point to the second chair that is next to my bed and Peter sits down on it. Then I reach for his hand and squeeze it gently.

Victoria: I'm really happy for you. She seemed nice. You definitely have to introduce her to me when you get the chance

Peter: I will definitely do that.

We spend the rest of the day with James - who has now slid onto the bed next to me and is holding me in his arms - and I listening to Peter about exactly how this started with him and MJ. The way he talks about her reminds me so much of what James and I have together that it's almost scary. But the fact that he found someone who makes him as unconditionally happy as James makes me, makes me incredibly happy. After everything we two have been through in our lives, we deserve unconditional, pure and simply real happiness.
