~~~~~~ No Ones POV ~~~~~~

A couple years have passed. Xiao was never found. Aether was the happiest man alive. He got a good job that made enough money to support him and his lover to live comfortably together. Xiao was allowed out of the basement after a couple of months.

Aether brought books from school for him to learn from after expressing that he still wanted to learn somewhat. Aether pulled some strings and got Xiao his degree even though he wasn't at school to finish it. He pulled the "my best friend worked so hard and now he's not here to get it" card (smth like that) and they granted him this wish. Xiao seemed happy when Aether brought it home to him.

Xiao never tried to run. He only liked going out to the garden that was surrounded by fencing. No one could see Xiao from the garden. Aether moved them when he finished school and now their home was on a big piece of land. Not many others lived around them. Xiao mostly read books, watch tv, drew or played his flute. Aether gets him anything he wants whenever he asks for it so he asked for his flute and music sheets.

It took a very long time but soon Xiao found himself returning Aethers affection back. Everytime Aether left, he would tell him that he loved him and sometimes Xiao would say it back. Whenever Xiao woke up in the mornings, he found himself cuddling up to Aether in their bed. Life was nice.. being loved by this man who would kill for him and anything he wanted. That was a dream come true.

The two of them had eachother and that's all that mattered. Although, Xiao was having trouble accepting his obvious hard core feelings for Aether. That was until one day, Aether came home and the house was empty.

~~~~~~ Aethers POV ~~~~~~

Aether walked through the door with a few bags in his hands. Struggling a bit, he called out, "I'm home! Do you mind coming to help me love?" He spoke softly but loud enough for him to hear him. No one answered him. This usually would be normal because sometimes Xiao tended to fall asleep at random times during the day. He would find him either sleeping in the garden or in the window seat in their bedroom.

But this time was different. Something was wrong. Aether immediately dropped everything in his hands and went to Xiaos usual napping spots. He was not there. Then he went to the guest rooms and bathrooms. Not there either. In the attic? Empty. The kitchen? Spotless. Expect for one thing. A note in the middle of the island in the kitchen. With a heartbeat of a thousand miles per hour, Aether reached for the note and scanned it carefully.

" Thought you could keep him all to yourself? What a greedy pig you are. "

This handwriting. He knew who this was. His nemesis from highschool. The same bitch that was simping on Xiao just as much as he was. How did she know he was even here? How long did she know? What did she do with him? With shaking hands, he flipped the letter over and there was an adress on the back.

He immediately looked it up on his phone. It was 4 hours away in the middle of nowhere. For fuck sakes. Aether didn't waste anytime. He grabbed some weapons and put on some gloves before grabbing his keys and walking straight back out the door.

To say the blonde was pissed would be an understatement. How dare she. How dare that cunt come out of nowhere and steal him away? Just like that!? After all the work he went through with him. All the memories they've made so far. She just comes out and takes what's his!?

Aether will NOT let this little bitch get away with this sly little devil act she has done. She will die by his hands tonight.

~~~~~~ Xiaos POV ~~~~~~

Darkness wrapped around him. Desperately trying to keep him under but his mind was stronger than whatever drugs plagued his body. His eyes fluttered open, everything around him was blurry. This was not.. he wasn't home. Where was he? This isn't Aethers house. He could've sworn he had fallen asleep on the couch after lunch. What had he eaten?

He does remember the food smelling a bit weird but Aether wouldn't have done that. He stopped doing stuff like that to him once they moved. Aether.. where was he? Panic settled within him, the cold and unfamiliar environment washed over him. This was nothing like home. Where it was safe, secure, warm.. This was different. His wrist were tied way too tightly to the chair he was slouched in.

Footsteps were heard approaching him. It made him tense up. "Hello my dear. Nice of you to finally wake up and see your new wife." A womans voice giggled. He did not recognize it. A cold hand traced his jawline before rough but plumped lips touched his. This was not a comfortable kiss. It was not like Aethers. He missed Aether. Where was he? Xiao wasn't registering anything that was happening. He couldn't get away from this woman.

There was suddenly a loud bang and Xiaos ears started to ring. The woman immediately let him go and started speaking to someone but he couldn't hear much. There was a man shouting and now the woman was too. With his blurred vision, he couldn't see much but could tell it was Aether. Relief washed over him.

His hearing was slowly coming back to him. "I'm not the only one who still wants him you know. There are other girls. They know where you and him live and play husbands at. Just leave him here. I will take better care of him then you ever will." The woman spat out, her words hard and rough.

"I'm going to slit your slimy throat." Aethers voice was rougher. There was movement. Lots of it. The sound of a knife hitting someones skin was heard and blood got onto his face. A scream came from the woman. Xiao turned his head away and he closed his eyes as the knife went into the womans throat. Aether didn't stop. He stabbed and stabbed her too many times.

The sounds were horrible but he couldn't help but feel.. safe. Aether had come and saved him. That's all he cared about.

Finally, the stabbing stopped. A warm hand was on his cheek and Xiao immediately melted into it. Untying him, Aethrr lifted Xiao by his arm and hurried him out of there. Xiao had a bit of trouble getting to his feet and using his legs. They were still numb. Aether helped him through the woods. Xiao realized they were deep in the forest. Aether wasn't speaking. He wasn't comforting Xiao at all. He just looked sad and dejected.

~~~~~~ No Ones POV ~~~~~~

The blonde suddenly stopped and made Xiao face him. Xiao looked Aether in the eyes innocently, wanting to kiss him. Which he did. Xiao slowly leaned closer to him and pressed their lips together. This caught Aether off gaurd as he never kissed him first. Aether couldn't help but kiss him back.

So sweet and tender. Xiao placed his hands on Aethers cheeks and wiped some blood off his beautiful face. He smiled softly. Aethers eyes were filled with nothing but love for him. "I'm not the only one who wants you Xiao.. I have to keep you safe. I don't want something else like that ever happening.. again."

The way Aether spoke scared him almost. It confused him. Xiao continued to stare at his eyes. Wanting him to explain. Then he spoke again, "If I can't have you.."

Suddenly, there was a sharp pain in his chest. Right on his heart. A small whimper escaped his mouth but he didn't take his eyes off of Aether. The pain. Oh god it hurt but Aethers face made it bearable. Aethers hand caressed Xiaos cheek as he smiled softly.

"No one can."

Hello my friends 😊 sorry if this was a bit rushed but I will write more detailed things in the future. Summer school has started for me and I do apologize. I know I said I would continue that book when school ended but I haven't fully gotten to it.
