Well, wasn't that awkward as hell.
I spent the moments I was in my room before coming to this dance lesson hoping that he would see me and his feelings would hit him like a train and it would be one of those scenes out of cheesy movies.
Instead, he dropped me on my butt during a lift; twice.
"Athena, what are you running from?" He asked me at the very end of the lesson.
"Nothing" I breathed out. "I'm sweaty, I was just going to take a shower"
"Can we meet up? I want to hang out with you" he smiled innocently.
"Erm, sure. What would you like to do?"
"I have hockey practice tomorrow, so come and watch me and we could see something from there?" He shrugged and I nodded. "Awesome, see you later, sweaty"
I raised my eyebrows at the pet name, then shook my head ready to go to my dorm.

"You're joking, right?"
"Not at all. He's alive and well; to a certain extent..he's a bit more of an airhead than before" I sighed in a hushed whisper. "I can confirm he got shot on the head, he has a scar. Can you even survive a bullet to the head?"
"There are slim chances, but if it doesn't get through the main areas of the brain then..I suppose" David said, after seconds of clicking. "Well that's good news, right?!"
"Not exactly; he doesn't remember me" I crossed my arms.
"Ah, bummer. I'm sure you can get him again" he replied. "How was your first day?"
"Well, I made a couple new friends, had hot chocolate with a mysterious guy and have a lab partner- both of the latter are Ross' siblings"
"What a fucking muddle"
I laughed at his colourful vocabulary. "Basically. But my first day was good, and I saw our target-"
"What are you on about?" Speaking of the devil, Sierra was stood behind me in a onesie. My eyes nearly popped out of my head.
"I'll call you later, Dad. Love you!" I covered up quickly and hung up the pay phone. "All yours"
"Thanks" she snapped, dialling a number. I pretended to go around the corner but in reality I went into the girl's bathroom to eavesdrop.
"Yes...so will you make it?" She sounded confident. But that didn't last. "Oh. Yeah, I understand...work...well, do you want to hear about my A+ in - Dad? Dad?!"
The phone was slammed down and I heard sobs, so naturally, I went running back. Sierra was sat up against a wall, crying. I sat beside her. "What's up?"
"Why should I- ugh whatever" she sniffed. "My Dad doesn't care about me, it's all work. Even my Mom who's a busy fashion designer listens to me more than him"
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. But I'm sure he loves you..you just have to understand his side"
"What do you know about this?!" She snapped hotly.
"My dad's in the army, so I can't always keep up with him" I explained and her facial expression softened. "So yeah. He has his reasons I'm sure, just...give it time"
"Thanks, you did a better job than all my friends combined in what, 30 seconds?" she chuckled. "I'm Sierra"
"Athena"
"You have a really nice name" she pulled herself up and then helped me. "I should probably get going to sleep, I have an English exam but..I'll see you around, yeah?"
"Sure, good luck with your exam" I waved her away then noticed another face return. "Hi dude"
"Hey girl, how are you?" Rocky asked, yawning in the process. "Isn't it a bit late for you to be up?"
"A bit; but you do realise you're in the girls dorm?"
"Yeah" he nodded and after a pause, he winked. I grimaced.
"Do not touch me with those after-what ever you did hands"
"I was studying, I promise. I'll always stay faithful to you"
"Rocky, we aren't together"
"Yet" he smirked, then draped an arm around me. "C'mon now, I'll walk you to your room"
