"You're taking the bloody piss"
"You went a bit British there" Ross smirked and I smacked his arm. "Sorry"
I glared at the message on my phone. "Of course he wouldn't tell me first hand because I would rip his head off"
"It can't be that bad"
"Ross, I'm meant to crash a Vegas show whilst you bribe people with drinks" I whined. "We can swap..."
"And then I would be forced into a dress and to dance with another 9 girls" he rolled his eyes. I crossed my arms.
"I'm not wearing one of those dresses" I shook my head as I took my heels off. Neither of us were old enough to enter a casino, so climbing up a fence it was.
It was smoother than I imagined it to be, and we made it into the main gambling area without drawing much attention. My eyes scanned the room next door, multiple tables filled with mainly old men and young girls.
It made me sad, because part of these could just be forced to be there. Ross elbowed me. "Is that him?"
A guy, probably around our age, stood out to us. At his table were only older people, and they were all laughing. He fit the profile; but nobody said he was young.
Or über cute. Ross glared at me. "Excuse me?"
"Sorry" I muttered. "Take that table, I'll be getting my groove on"
"Good luck!" He patted my shoulder and we walked out separate ways. Please work for me heels.
I took advantage of the music stopping and took centre stage as the audience became awfully confused. A waitress set a drink in front of Ross and they exchanged some words as he pointed to Jack's table. He then gave me thumbs up.
"What are you doing?" A dancer yelled at me.
I turned to them, who looked almost as lost. "Follow- Follow my lead"
Cue music. Good thing we have done a choreography to 'Back In Time' in St.Mary's. And it's not everyday someone in 5 inch heels and a maxi dress with a slit all the way up their thigh can bust some moves with professional dancers.
I deserve a freaking trophy. And possibly a massage.
I fled before I could even be clapped at, freshened up at the bathroom and then returned to meet Ross. The same people who were at Jack's table were now at ours, including him. I took the empty spot beside him and all eyes faced me.
"And who is this rare gem?" The beauty, who just happens to be the person I'm meant to gun down by the end of these 4 weeks, spoke at me. I smiled.
"This is my girlfriend, Belle" Ross lied smoothly. I didn't like how he referred to me as girlfriend. Could've said sister or 'best bitch'. I forced a smile.
"Were you just on stage?" One of the pot bellied men asked me.
I laughed. "No", then took a gulp of Ross' drink which burned a hole in my throat. He gave me a dopey smile, and I rolled my eyes at him.
