You guys, I have a new story called Lightning Strikes and it's a Rydel story so go check that out!

I pushed open the door leading inside the ice rink. A man was sat behind the counter and jittered slightly but returned to his newspaper when he saw my student card.

From here, I could hear the sound of skates on the ice and shouting. I collected myself a hot chocolate then found a seat on the bleachers, watching the boys' team practise. They were all in full kit but I found Ross, after spotting his jersey.

It was a good 15 minutes of scoring, bumping, falling, laughing and shouting amongst the team before they got out. I smiled to Ross as he approached me. "Hi!"

He sounded muffled, which made me giggle. "Hi, are you okay there?"

"To a certain extent. Mind if I take a quick shower? Then we can bounce"

"Go ahead" I shrugged and he waddled away (literally). I took that time to look through my plan of going through Sierra's room to discover more about her father.

"I'm back" Ross fell beside me and I jumped slightly, putting my phone away. "You ready?"

"What are we doing?"

"Driving" he said as he opened a door to his jeep. Without asking any more questions, I sat inside and pulled the seatbelt over me (he was never a good driver, and I feel like it's only got worse now). He got in shortly after and we drove out of the campus. "Are you okay? You're quiet?"

"Am I?"

"I mean, yesterday you cussed me out sideways so I'm slightly worried why you aren't today" Ross chuckled and I smiled. "But seriously, are you okay?"

"I'm coming down with a cold, but other than that I'm fine" I shrugged and sniffled. He nodded.

"My mom makes this killer chicken soup, I can ask her to drop off some for you this weekend?"

"No, no. I don't want to hassle her, and it'll go soon enough" I smiled, turning my eyes to the road as the radio played in the background, tuned on an indie station.

Out of curiosity, I opened the glove compartment. Ross scoffed playfully. "Make yourself at home"

"I am" I said innocently, looking for something interesting. Until my hand touched a 'packet'. I grimaced and looked at him as he laughed.

"What?!" He exclaimed. "A guy's got needs!"

"Nice- ooh hello" I grabbed a torch and a chocolate bar. "May I?"

"I wouldn't, that's been there forever" he laughed and I literally threw it out of the window, hitting a passing car. His laughter only intensified from there.

I turned on the torch and place it under my chin, my pirate accent slipping through. "Once upon a time, ay my lad, there was a wicked old lady named Ol' Mary who had a wang eye, ay"

"What happened to her?"

"She ate that chocolate bar and got food poisoning" I smirked, fiddling with the radio. Only then I noticed he was looking at me, so I crossed my eyes.

He smiled. "You're a nutcase, but I like you"

We ended up driving for hours, and it seemed like a mini road trip that consisted of laughter, (bad) singing (especially them high notes- for me at least, blondie there was slaying) & the occasional comfortable silence.

However, we were now at the very top of a hill, the jeep parked a few metres behind us as we sat down at a distance from the edge. It was coming up to something like 7, so the sun was setting.

"It's been bugging me since yesterday" he said, causing me to flinch slightly. "How did you get to know me?"

"I was drowning and you saved me. Then you helped me overcome my water phobia and well," I guess the memories hurt more than I remember, seen as a lump had formed on my throat. He looked at me with wide worried eyes.

"What were we like?" He pressed on.

"We were dating"

He then laid back, sighing and placing his hands behind his head. "I guess I always had an eye for the pretty ones then"

I slapped his side lightly and chuckled. "You haven't stopped being a douchebag either"

"Oh trust me, deep down you love my douchebag-ness" he winked and I shook my head at him.

As much as I hated to admit, he was right.

BITCH YOU GUESSED IT *WHOO* YOU IS RIGHT
