Later that night, Kivilcim and Omer were in the kitchen, finishing up their dinner. They worked side by side, washing and drying the dishes. As they rinsed the last of the plates, Kivilcim took a deep breath, her mind focused on the news she was about to share. She glanced at Omer, who was drying a plate.

"Omer," she started, her voice slightly hesitant but filled with anticipation.

Omer looked up, his curiosity piqued. "Yes?"

Kivilcim paused for a moment, then said, "I went to the pharmacy today

"Oh. did you get the shampoo I wanted?" Omer asked.

"No... I forgot... Actually, I bought a pregnancy test."

Omer's eyes widened, and he put down the dish towel, turning to face her fully. "Really? Are you pregnant?"

Kivilcim smiled, feeling relieved and excited. "I'm going to take the test now to be sure. I am a few days late... Will you come with me?"

Omer nodded eagerly. "Of course. I'll be right there."

A few minutes later, Omer followed Kivilcim to the bathroom. She had the pregnancy test in her hand, her nerves evident but her excitement clear. As she prepared to take the test, Omer stood by her side, offering silent support, while also going crazy inside from excitement.

Kivilcim sat on the toilet, the pregnancy test in her hand. She took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. Omer leaned against the doorframe from a distance to give her privacy but still offering his support.

"Are you done?" Omer called out loudly.

"Omer, wait a minute. You're more impatient than me." Kivilcim said.

Kivilcim began to follow the instructions on the test. She carefully placed the test stick on the counter and watched as the timer began to run. "Omer come!" Her heart raced as she glanced at the clock, counting down the minutes.

After what felt like an eternity, the timer went off. Kivilcim picked up the test with trembling hands.

"What does it say?" omer siad eagerly.

Kivilcim stared at the pregnancy test, her heart pounding in her chest. She could feel Omer's eyes on her, filled with just the same eagerness. With a shaky breath, she turned the test to face her, and the result appeared clear.

"It's one line," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Omer's eager expression softened as he saw the single line on the test, but confusion flickered in his eyes. "What does that mean?" he asked, his voice filled with hope.

Kivilcim looked up at him. "It means... it's negative," she whispered, the disappointment clear in her tone.

Omer's excitement deflated instantly, replaced by a quiet disappointment. He moved closer, gently taking the test from her hand to see for himself. The single line confirmed it—no baby.

Omer stared at her for a moment, processing the information. "So... we're not having a baby," he said slowly, as if trying to wrap his mind around the reality.

She nodded, her eyes reflecting the same disappointment. "No, we're not."

Omer sighed, his shoulders sagging slightly. "I see," he said softly. Then, gathering himself, he offered a small, reassuring smile. "But it's okay. What's that pout... We'll keep trying."

Kivilcim forced a small smile, trying to lighten the mood. "I guess we jumped onto this a little too soon," she said softly, though she couldn't completely hide the hint of sadness in her voice.
