"As an apology, I'll just stay here like this. Okay?"

WALKING HOME ALONE is something you usually do. You never talked to many of your peers since it always made you nervous when you walked up to them, thinking they might find it odd if you tried to strike up a conversation with them. The wind softly rustled the trees and brushed against your face. It was a nice feeling walking home during spring when everything is starting to become warm again. It was silent as you walked... Keyword, it was.

"Y/NN!" Bachira yelled, footsteps rapidly approaching behind you. Before you could react, he had already crashed right into you. Knocking both of you down onto the rough sidewalk. He gasped, landing on top of you as you groaned from the impact. He quickly panicked and got off, checking if you were okay. He grabbed your hands to see the damage he had done by bumping into you.

When he held your hand, it caught you off guard, sitting on the ground as you watched him bring it close to his face. Feeling his warm breaths against your hand made you blush; his touch showed that he cared about you. Making sure to not rub over any of the cuts you had gotten from the fall. "Sorry!" He hissed under his breath, frowning at the mistake he made.

"No! It's fine!" You quickly replied, taking your hand back as you couldn't even look at him in the eyes from embarrassment. Quickly standing up and brushing the dust off yourself, you continued on your way home with him following close behind and mumbling his apologies over and over again.

You and Bachira are friends, you could say... It's quite a miracle how you two got this close—quite close, as he always seemed to stick around you in his free time. Being seated next to each other in class also helped bloom your friendship together. But he always played soccer after school, so you weren't sure why he was here with you now.

Making it to your house, he welcomed himself inside. It's not the first time anyway, and your parents weren't home for him to disturb. You shut the door, now feeling the stinging sensation in your hands starting to get worse. The cuts were still dirty from falling on the ground, and Bachira seemed to notice when you had flinched unlocking the door. He immediately grabbed your wrist after you two were inside. Caught off guard, your bag slipped off your shoulders onto the ground as he dragged you over to the kitchen. Turning the water on and putting your hand under it to wash out the dirt. It slowly numbed your hand, feeling the cold water run past as Bachira held a firm grip on your wrist to make sure your hand stayed under it. You couldn't help but notice your eyes had started to linger on his face.

The way his eyebrows slightly furrowed while staring at the injury and his warm hand contrasting against the frigid water made your facial expression soften at how much he cared. You both stayed silent as he took care of your injury. He dried your hand with a paper towel and made you sit down in front of him as he searched for a bandage. Looking through your cabinets as you sat quietly, staring at your hand and then at him. It was such a small scratch, and it wasn't even bleeding; you would've just washed your hands and been done with it.

But he wanted to take extra measures to make sure you were okay. That your hand healed nicely because it technically was his fault, right? Noticing this made you blush at how kind and dedicated he was. You fidgeted in your chair before he finally found the bandage. Quickly going back to you and leaning on one knee before taking your hand into his.

Bachira takes off the plastic wrapping and carefully places it on top of the cut, smoothing out the air bubbles as you thank him. "It's my fault anyways, right?" He gave you a light smile, one that made your heart beat faster. You turn your head, looking away to hide your expression.

He chuckled at you, taking your hand and lifting you up to sit on the couch. Both of your hands were now intertwined, and you were hesitant to speak out about it; maybe it was an accident? He sits down next to you, suddenly leaning on your side, making you fall on the couch as he laid on top of you. "Bachira?!"

His head was on top of your chest, arms wrapped around your back while he closed his eyes. "I'm tired now." He mumbled.

You were shocked. What was he doing?! You bit the inside of your cheek before placing your hands on his back. What were you doing?.. Your face felt warm as you looked down on top of his head and heard his breathing start to become even. You tried to calm your heart down, speechless at his actions as you mindlessly started tracing shapes on his back. He hums happily at your hands on his back, nuzzling closer to you and making you freeze in place.

"I'm sorry for making you fall," he whispered. You nod silently. "No, it's fine." You reply while he frowns.

"It's not! I feel bad.." He whined, opening his eyes and staring at you. His cheek was squished against your chest while his bright yellow eyes stared you at quite upset. You felt a wobbly smile appear on your face, looking away to avoid eye contact as you lightly smiled. He was adorable. "It's really nothing..."

"As an apology, I'll just stay here like this. Okay?"

"Wait, what?!"
