Days had passed very quietly. Neither Lea nor Primo contacted Jennie after that night in the Emerald Hotel. Although the next day, Lea's agency released a statement that Lea and Primo weren't dating and they were simply friends. The people on the internet were divided; some believed it, while others doubted it. There were a few who thought the article was nothing but a publicity stunt to divert the people from the current real issues.
All of which Jennie didn't care about.
Jennie used this time of tranquility to prepare for any future events on top of fulfilling her duties as Jevin's mother and Lisa's wife. She was also needed in the production of the film because of her added screen time. But Lea's scenes had been canceled because of 'personal' problems. So, they were using this time to shoot others' scenes to not waste time waiting.
[From: My Beautiful Queen
Already arrived at the set! I will rehearse now to shoot an action scene. Have a good day at work. Love love! kiss kiss! hug hug!

Lisa stood in the middle of his office, stopping in his tracks the moment he received a message from his wife. A smile instantly appeared on his face, sending her good wishes so she could have a good day on the set.
After replying to his wife, Lisa trudged to his desk to do some more work. But the moment he sat down on the swivel chair, Jisoo came in.
Lisa simply glanced at his assistant as he was getting ready to work on a mountain of paperwork.
"Sir." Jisoo stopped in front of Lisa's desk, bearing a conflicted yet stern look.
Lisa glanced up at the man again, furrowing his problems. "What's the problem?" he asked.
"Well... I don't know how to put it. Here." Jisoo gulped before he reluctantly placed a folder on the desk. "I got an article that was supposed to be released today."
"An article? About?" Lisa slowly reached for the folder, eyes on his assistant.
Jisoo kept a tight lip, meaning he didn't have the heart to tell it straight to Lisa. This piqued Lisa's intrigue as it was rare for his assistant to look so conflicted.
Did someone try to slander their company? Again?
Lisa's first thought immediately stretched to what concerned him the most. After all, the only articles they focused on were those about the LYON Group and their subsidiaries or about the Manoban Family. Lucas had behaved well recently, but Lisa still considered the article would be about his little brother.
But the content of the folder was something that didn't cross him.
He had a grim expression after reading a scandalous headline that would surely be attention-grabbing. It says;
[KIM HANBIN AND JENNIE KIM CAUGHT HAVING A DATE!
Ever since the film... Kim Hanbin and Jennie Kim's chemistry had taken the nation by storm... many fans...]
The more Lisa read the article, the darker his expression became. He couldn't even finish the article as his grip tightened, crumpling half of the paper.
Seeing his boss's reaction, Jisoo let out a deep exhale. Not only the article was insinuating that Kim Hanbin and Jennie Kim were in a relationship, there were even photos of them together in a cafe!
"Was it published?" asked Lisa after a moment of silence. His voice was chillingly low, making Kim Jisoo shiver.
"No." Jisoo forced his voice out of his throat, clearing it to keep himself together. "We caught it even before it was published. So, I bought the article."
"Good." Lisa let out a huff. "Stop all stupid articles like this one in the future."
"Yes." Jisoo pressed his lips, peeking at his boss. "Boss, you don't think it was true, right?"
"No."
Jisoo almost wowed at how quick and certain Lisa's answer was. It almost made him wonder if Lisa was simply in denial.
"I know this." Lisa reached out for his phone, checking his message log with his wife.
Unlike before, there were now countless exchanges between him and Jennie. So, he had to scroll through the countless photos and videos before finding a particular picture she sent way back.
Lisa clicked it and then glanced at the crumpled article. "I was with them."
"Huh?" Jisoo blinked. "You mean..."
"This was the time we closed our deal with the Ramsey Machinery in that cafe," Lisa kept his answer short and simple, reminding Jisoo at that time they closed a deal with those two brilliant men.
"Oh!" Jisoo tapped the bottom of his fist against his palm, nodding. "Right. No wonder I thought the cafe was familiar. But in the article, why is it just Kim Hanbin and the madam..."
Jisoo trailed off as soon as a conclusion flashed in his mind. "Oh."
"Find out who sent this information to the publishing who wrote this article," ordered Lisa even though he already had an idea of who did it. "If it's Miss Jung, you know what to do."
"That snake!" Jisoo couldn't help but click his tongue in annoyance, only to clear his throat upon realizing his slip of the tongue. "Yes, sir. We'll handle it."
"Do it all at once... oh, wait." Lisa leaned back as he immediately calmed down after confirming the photos. "Gather all the information about Miss Jung. Don't do anything to her just yet. Since she is my wife's friend, I want Jennie to decide how to deal with her."
Jisoo rocked his head before lowering it. "Yes, sir. I'll send the information by the end of the day."
With that being said, Jisoo bid his farewell and left Lisa's office. Meanwhile, Lisa raised the crumpled article to look at it when Jisoo closed the door.
"Jung Lea..." he whispered, eyes glinting menacingly. 'Be grateful you are my wife's friend. I would've destroyed you in an hour for pushing your luck too far.'
His anger initially came from the scandalous title, but the more he looked at it, the more he felt in dismay at Lea. And also, the more he felt sorry for his wife.
"I wonder... just how many lies had you told us in those five years?"
Little did Lisa know, stopping the release ofthe article would only fuel a certain spiteful person's desire to exact her twisted revenge. By means or foul.
