Lan Xichen took a sip of his tea as he glanced at Jiang Cheng who was reading the documents. They just returned from someone's wedding, yet the other immediately turned on work mode. Lan Xichen knows that Jiang Cheng is workaholic, and this has become his habit due to what happened in the past. After all, only Jiang Cheng was carrying the entire YunmengJiang Sect on his shoulders.
However, Lan Xichen's mind is drifting somewhere right now. It was because he noticed earlier in the wedding during their chat with other people that Jiang Cheng... "Wanyin." He called.
"Hm?" Jiang Cheng answered without raising his head from the documents. 'Wanyin'? He thought, surprised. But, recalling that calling each other by names was one of their agreements, he didn't say anything. Also... no one has ever called him by his courtesy name aside from his mother, who was already gone.
"You..." Lan Xichen muttered. "Why aren't you calling me 'hus-'... eh? Wanyin?! Why are you crying?!" he panicked when he saw that Jiang Cheng was crying.
"Huh? Oh, I just – " Jiang Cheng muttered and wiped his tears. He didn't notice his tears fell.
Lan Xichen felt anxious, and so the matter of Jiang Cheng calling him 'husband' has flown out his mind.
