My head was aching, a pain pulsed through my spine as I attempted to shake off the haze of being knocked out. This was really bad. I was weak but I needed to hear his voice, make sure he knew I was safe.
Forcing open a weak connection with Josh, I sighed. I'm alive.
Baby? Where are you? What happened? What did you mean by the symbol? What's going on?
My eyes began to bleed, as the connection slipped, I love you.
Before I could hear his response, his thoughts fell away from me and I was left alone once again in the darkness. My eyes slowly adjusted and I gasped, I was surrounded by cells of broken and dirty females. My heart ached with them. How had I not seen this in my visions?
My wolf rolled her eyes at my stupidity. Vampires, they are blinding to your visions.
A man chuckled in the darkness, "Looks like the princess is up." It was William.
Snarling, I stood and sent calm throughout the others. "What do you want?"
"I owed Maya but now we're even."
"What?"
"You aren't who she wants but you'll do."
My body trembled, I needed a change of subject. "What the hell is this place?"
He moved closer and ran his fingers across the silver bars, "I guess there is no harm in telling you, you're dead anyway."
"So?"
He smiled and stood a little straighter, gesturing to the females, "This is where I breed my warriors."
It clicked, "The hybrids?"
His smile brightened, "My children."
"You're disgusting."
"No. It will bring our kinds together."
"You are a monster."
He shrugged, "Did your mate ever tell you about me?"
My jaw tightened and glare darkened.
"I'll take that as a no." He chuckled, "You two not getting along?"
Still, I stayed silent, not wanting to give anything away.
"I'm sorry, it's my understanding that you wolves are very dependent on your mates. It must kill you to know he doesn't love you ."
I scoffed, "Barking up the wrong tree."
"I had to try. So Maya tells me you have visions."
Leaning against the wall, I curled my knees to my chest and ignored him.
"I'd like to see what I would create with you."
Snarling, I stood and my eyes flashed silver. Goddess was pissed, "I am Josh's! You won't touch me."
His eyes widened, "What the hell are you?"
"The reason you're going to die."
He snickered, "You are spirited, I enjoy that."
I paced back and forth in the small cell. Feeling a little stronger, I opened a connection with Josh. It's William, I'm in a cell. There are so many with me.
I'm coming baby. I'm going to find you but I need...
Pain shot through my arm and pulled me out of the connection. In my left arm, there was a needle.
William hissed, "Don't try and contact him."
"What is this?" I stumbled back as my body began to go number and I fell to the hard ground.
"A sedative I created." He laughed, "Strong enough to stop an alpha, you should really ask Josh about this one."
Blackness.

Coming to, I was somewhere new. It was freezing cold and I trembled with the icy steal of the chair I sat on. Blinking away the haze, I was horrified by the sight before me. I was naked and chained up to a steal chair.
One of the men from the boat watched me suspiciously. "William, she's up."
The door swung open and he appeared before me, "That was quicker than the average wolf."
"Let me go!"
He chuckled, "Not until I figure out what you are."
"I'm just a wolf." Squirming, I attempted to cover myself from their nauseating stares.
"Don't be ashamed and hide yourself." He moved closer to me and ran his finger along the top of my thigh. "You are very beautiful."
Snarling, I fought with the chains, "Stop!" I was still weak and groggy from the shot and I didn't have the strength to phase or for goddess to work through me.
"You smell different than the other mutts. Why?"
"I wasn't aware of that."
He frowned and his jaw tightened as he unbuckled his belt. "We can always do this the hard way."
Tears welled up in my eyes and I forced open a connection with my mom, Please. Find me...He...He...
I could hear her mental gasp, What's happening?
He gave me a shot, I'm so weak. I can't shift or feel goddess very well. And he's...he's going to...
What baby girl? What is he doing?
My heart ached, I needed Josh. Taking his pants off.
My mom snarled and I could feel her anger. I'm going to fucking kill him!
What do I do?
Take deep breaths. Fight your exhaustion, you need to stay strong.
My eyes began to bleed, I'm so weak. I've been sleeping for two weeks.
She sighed, We're coming but you need to tell me who is betraying who?
I had completely forgotten about the vision I had on the boat. Mark. He was one of Josh's best warriors, He is working with Maya.
Mom seemed to relax, Ok good, thank you. What's happening now?
Still afraid, I peeked up at William behind my eyelashes. He is dipping his belt in wolfsbane.
Okay. Deep breaths baby girl. This is going to hurt but just stay with me as long as you can.
Taking in a weak breath, I trembled in fear. I don't wanna die Mommy.
She whimpered, You're not going to but you need to take deep breaths, Josh can feel what you're feeling.
My heart ached even more, No!
He needs you to keep calm so he can focus on finding Mark.
Does he know what's happening?
Mom sighed in her thoughts, No. He won't be able to focus if he knew. But don't worry about that right now. Just deep breaths and keep hoping. We will find you...
A piercing stink ran across my thighs and I screamed out as the connection slipped away from me. Looking down, I found a slice across my legs from the belt.
William snickered, "Did that hurt?"
Josh attempted to open a connection with me.
My jaw tightened, "No."
This time the belt snapped across my face, "How about that?"
Josh broke through, What's going on?
I'm fine. I'll be fine.
What does it smell like?
Blood, a lot of blood and death. I could feel the pain my words inflicted on him and I instantly regretted it.
Smell past that Jo.
The whip came again and I screamed out, clutching the side of the chair but the connection didn't slip. Taking a deep breath, I focussed. It smells like lilacs, pine and water.
I know where you are. I'm coming. The connection slipped and I instantly felt better. All I had to do was hold on until he got here. The new hope gave me strength.
William hissed, "Why are your wounds healing?"
I shrugged, not trusting my voice.
His jaw clenched and he hit me again across my stomach.
I bit back my scream, this pain was nothing compared to what it felt like to lose Josh - I could do this. My eyes began to bleed and head pounded as my body trembled and vision was taken from me.

Josh growled and held Mark by his throat against the wall, "Where the fuck is Maya?"
Mark whimpered back, "H-Her territory."
Josh snarled and snapped his neck, tossing the empty body to the floor. He turned to a wide eyed Kyle, "Josie is to the North of Maya's land with William. Mark said there were only five or six. Get the guard together."
Cris took a step closer, "I'm coming with you."
Josh shook his head, "No. I need you to stay here with Bailey and Beth to keep them safe so Kyle and I can focus on the fight. You're the only one I trust to do it."
Cris nodded and pulled Bailey back against his chest.
Josiah and my mom stepped forward. Mom smiled sadly, "We're coming. Let's go now!" I could hear the panic, the pain.
Josh looked at her suspiciously, "What do you know?"
"That we don't have time for this now!"
His jaw tightened and they sprinted to the cars. Josh climbed into the truck and a female jumped in beside him. He sighed and gripped her hand, "Thank you for coming."
She nodded, "He needs to die."
"Yes he does Kendra."
The cars and vans pulled out onto the road as my vision was given back to me.

William was watching me in confusion. "What just happened?"
My jaw tightened and I stayed silent.
Snarling, he slammed the belt back across my face and I bit back the pain. Undoing the chains, the other man grabbed my arm and tossed me against the wall. The belt came again and again and again across my back until I was raw and bloody - my skin so completely ripped up. My anger began to boil as the man ran his hand over my rear. Something inside me snapped and I didn't care that I was broken and tired, I wanted blood.
Growling, my body shook and I burst into my wolf. Before he could react, I lunged for his neck and easily snapped it. As he lay limp, my wolf worked without me. I ripped into his chest and pulled out his heart tossing it to the side as I focussed my attention to a shocked William.
"How did you phase? You're covered in wolfsbane."
Snarling, I took another step toward him.
He laughed and jumped on me, stabbing me with another needle. My body weekend again and I could feel my bones cracking back into my human form as I slumped to the ground and the blackness returned.

This time when I came back to, there were two more with him. The female watched me wearily, "Did she really kill Tim?"
William sighed, "Ripped his heart right out of his chest."
The man watched me, "Why isn't the sedative working very well?"
"I don't know but we're almost out, we can't use more on her."
"Then what do we do?"
"We need to keep her weak." He took his knife and sliced my arm, making my blood pool out of me and onto the table I was laying on. Just as it started to heal, he cut it open again. He did this until a third of my blood was drained from me. "There, that should keep you from shifting again."
I growled, fighting to keep my eyes open, "For now, but Josh will find me."
"No, he won't."
The door opened and everyone looked to the new face.
My jaw tightened, "Hello Maya."
She smirked, "You're not so tough without your Alphas to protect you."
William laughed and rested his hand on Maya's shoulder, "I have a proposition for you."
