Chapter TWENTY-NINE

3 months later.

"Sunoo, can you help me hang this banner please?" I asked, handing him the other side of HAPPY BIRTHDAY banner.

"Sure, here? Or higher?"

I asked the boys if they can comeover to help me prepare for Ni-ki's birthday today but 4 of them decided to pretend that there's meeting so Ni-ki will be out for today. Sunoo and Jungwon decided to help me.

Jungwon is blowing the balloons and putting up decorations then Sunoo is helping me with cooking and baking. I am now baking his cake, strawberry shortcakes topped with warm strawberries. I also made him bunggeoppang and mandu since it's his favorites and then the rest of the foods like samgyeopsal, fish cakes, tteopeokki, kimchi and sweet and sour fish.

Heeseung said they'll be here in anytime soon so I finally made sure that everything is good. Sunoo and Jungwon are already wearing party hats. Sunoo is incharge of blowing of party horn when Ni-ki comes in and Jungwon will be throwing the confetti.

"Heeseung-hyung said they're already here." Sunoo said as he read the text.

"What? Already?" I put the finished cake on the fridge first.

Finally, the doorbell rang. Indicating that they're already here but the door's unlock. The lights are off.

"Eh? Where's your girlfriend, Ni-ki-san?" Jay asked.

"She's probably asleep." I heard Ni-ki responded. Asleep? Naur.

As soon as they all stepped in, the light turned on and we all appeared, shouting in unison, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

Jungwon threw the confetti and Sunoo was blowing the horn. They all cheered, knowing the plan worked.

"Happy birthday bro!" Jake greeted giving Ni-ki a man hug.

They all greeted Ni-ki first before I walked towards him, wrapping my arms around his waist.

"Happy birthday Ni-ki." I greeted with a smile.

"Thank you, love." He answered in a low voice and then pecked my lips.

The boys immediately reacted with an 'eww get a room' but we just laughed.

"So who planned this?" Ni-ki asked.

"It was your girlfriend, duh? Serena did all these." Jungwon said.

Ni-ki mouthed me a 'thank you' and then started playing with the boys for tricking him they had a meeting.

"Let's eat guys!" I said, clapping my two hands together.

They were all passing the plates and utensils and we started eating. Ni-ki first put food on my plate before he put some on his.

"So, how long have you guys been together?" Jay asked.

"3 months." I replied.

"Man, I still can't believe that Ni-ki is already in a relationship. He's the baby in the group and now he's a full-grown man. Look how much he's changed."
