The graduation of the 104th training corps was close.

Only one week left.

In that last week, Shadis and Charlie decided to just do some regular repetition ODM exercises. Nothing too complex. Whoever was left now had already crossed the finish line.

Charlie leaned against a tree at the edge of the training field, arms crossed as she kept a sharp eye on the maneuvering cadets.

Making mental notes about all of their abilities, she was totally lost in thought, Her face was blank as she had abandoned the clipboard in her hand completely.

Jean and Connie stood nearby, waiting for their turn. The smaller boy watched Charlie's thoughtful expression with amusement.

"...You think she's actually impressed by us yet?" Connie asked, nudging Jean.

"Not a chance." Jean muttered, throwing a glance at Charlie. "Bet she's just itching to throw the next insult at someone." He crossed his arms.

Armin quickly joined beside them, having heard Jean's words. "I think she's only hard on us because she cares." He replied softly.

Jean scoffed. "Sure, tell that to the guy she called 'useless walking cannon fodder' last week."

Reiner landed behind Charlie, probably to ask a question. Charlie caught Reiner out of the corner of her eye, landing heavily behind her, but she didn't look his way.

And as if on cue, suddenly something unexpected happened. Berthold lost his balance mid fly, loosing control of his ODM gear.

He was flying towards a huge Titan dummy with full speed. Quickly protecting his head with his arms, he crashed into the dummy with full force.

The dummy wobbled. Then, with a deafening creak, it toppled forward.

"Look out!" Jean shouted at Charlie, which was standing exactly where the dummy was heading, it's head threatening to crash right into her.

Charlie turned just in time to see the heavy dummy falling toward her. She tried to step back quickly, but the Cadet behind her tumbled, accidentally pushing her forward.

She lost balance, harshly forced to the ground as the dummy's head slammed her leg down, pinning her foot awkwardly to the ground.

She hissed in pain, her clipboard clattering down as she fell on her butt. "Fuck!" She cursed.
