Chapter One-Hundred Fifteen: The Beika City Shopping Center Garbage Bin Mystery

The Toto Railway is a proud sponsor of the World Sports Games!" A commercial says as Subaru and Yuki look up towards it. Yuki held Hikari while Subaru held Hanako.

[Meanwhile]

"Everyone, if you find any large pieces of garbage, don't touch it and let me know instead." The kids' teacher calls out.

"Why do we have to clean up the shopping center?" Genta complains.

"This is part of our class, too. It's an activity for getting to know our local community." Ai explains.

"It may be part of class, but that doesn't mean picking up trash isn't a pain in the butt." Conan adds.

"If we pick up their garbage, it'll make it harder for adults to litter." Ai points out.

"Yeah, but..." Conan states as Ayumi gets distracted by a kitty, "No matter how much we pick up, people will never stop littering."

"Then what about the garbage right here?" Ai asks.

"Ayumi, stop playing with that stray cat and help us over here." Mitsuhiko complains.

"It's not a stray." Ayumi says and picks up the very fluffy fat cat with a collar on, "See?"

"Oh, I see." Mitsuhiko replies.

"What's going on here? Oh. That's Ms. Isojima's cat." Their teacher says and the cat meows at her.

"Ms. Isojima?" Ryo asks.

"Yeah. She always cleans up around this area." Their teacher explains, "But recently Ms. Isojima hasn't been feeling well. She's in the hospital now."

"Maybe that cat thought they'd get to see their owner if they came here." Mitsuhiko explains. They head back over to resume cleaning and find more of a mess.

"Hey, what the heck is this?" Genta asks.

"I thought adults weren't supposed to litter while kids are cleaning." Conan complains.

"This is pretty awful." Ai responds.

"Looks like there used to be a garbage bin here." Conan reads.

"There definitely was, right?" Mitsuhiko asks.

"Then where did it go?" Conan asks. Ai freaks out as she senses something and she turns to look towards a bookstore across the way. What she couldn't see was Yuki inside looking for some baby books for the twins.

The kids head to see the owner of the cat. Ai falls asleep outside while petting the cat. Ayumi and Ai sat outside together while Ryo went inside with the boys and Conan.

"Oh, they were originally a stray cat, so they get outside sometimes. But it's okay. They always come home when it's time to eat." The old lady says.

"Yaiba Punch! Yaiba Kick!" Masked Yaiba says on TV.

"It's Masked Yaiba!" Genta states.

"Purchase Masked Yaiba Chocolate and shake hands with me!" The commercial exclaims.

"Masked Yaiba Chocolate Manufacturer Mitsuzuka is a proud sponsor of the WSG Tokyo." A female's voice announces.

"I was looking forward to watching WSG Tokyo with my cat. But in my current condition, I can barely get around in a wheelchair. I can't go home yet." The lady explains. Outside, Ai wakes up when the kitty climbs down and wanders off. Ayumi giggles slightly. Inside, the conversation continues.
