Y/n happily hums a tune as she walks into Tom's Get Sporty. The Quads are huddled around a table and seem to be discussing something rather important.  "Hey, guys," Y/n greets with a big smile. The past few days have been busy for her, so she hasn't gotten to see her friends outside of school recently. It's good to see them again.

"Hey, Y/n," Nicky greets the girl back. The frown that was previously on his face is replaced with a smile. All of the Quads are normally happy to see    Y/n, but Nicky always seems just a tad happier than the rest. This thought alone is enough to make her heart flutter.

"Let me guess," she drawls as she looks around at the group. "You guys can't decide what to do for your history project." This is not the first time they've been paired together. In fact, Y/n can't remember a time when they haven't been paired together for a project. The story is the same every time. They can never agree on their topic and always end up fighting with one another.

"How did you know?" Dicky questions. He turns his head to the side in confusion.

She tries to hide a smile, but it sneaks onto her face anyway. "Just a lucky guess," she answers, her voice full of amusement.

"You're lucky that you don't have to be paired with the three of them," Ricky mutters as he nods at his siblings. "What are you and your group doing?" he inquires.

She debates whether or not she should reveal it to them. She doesn't see the harm in it. It's not like they can steal her group's idea anyway. "We're doing the history of jazz music. It's actually a very interesting topic."

Nicky's face lights up when he hears that. "That's perfect for you, Y/n! You love music!"

"Yep," she grins happily. It had originally been her idea, and she's lucky enough that the rest of her group also liked the idea.

The girl stops internally celebrating when she hears Dawn sigh. "Every group has decided on a topic except us," she discloses. The sides of her mouth are pulled tight in frustration. "So I'm taking the lead," she declares. "We are doing the sewing of the first American flag."

"Slow your roll, Betsy Boss," Ricky stops her. "I'm taking the lead."

Y/n rolls her eyes as she watches her friends. Here they go again! These four are constantly arguing. Just as she suspected they would, they all start yelling over one another. They even go as far as to pull each other's hair.

"Hey, kids! Wait, wait! Hey!" Anne rushes over to them. She looks dismayed at the fighting but not surprised. "What is going on?" She glances at her children as she tries to figure out what the issue is this time.

"Can't decide on a topic for our stupid history assignment," Dawn scoffs. She walks over to her mother, who wraps her arm around her to comfort her.

Tom, who is standing next to his wife, gasps at Dawn's words. "History's not stupid. It's important," he corrects her.

"Yeah," Anne agrees.

Tom steps forward. "You know the old saying. 'Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to...repeat it." He looks at his children intently, really wanting to drive the lesson home.

They simultaneously begin to repeat him. "Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to..."

"Repeat it."

"Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to..."

"Repeat it."

"Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to..."

"Repeat..."

"Tom!" Anne cuts in after she realizes what the children are doing. She struggles to not let a smile show on her face.
