Author POV:

Everyone was worried. All the women were in the hospital mandir praying for Annaya. Others were in the hospital lobby. Three hours passed, and still, Annaya's surgery was going on. Everyone was getting anxious with each passing second.

Abhimanyu was standing in the exact same place for three hours. He was just looking at the closed door of the operation theater. His grip was tightened on her bracelet and ring, which the nurse gave him before the surgery.

Nobody said anything to Abhimanyu, as they could understand what he must be going through. So, everybody gave him some space, but they knew how much he was terrified and worried.

His face was emotionless. His whole focus was on the closed door, on Annaya. He might not be saying it, but he was so terrified with each passing second.

It was like he couldn't breathe properly without Annaya. His body was there, but his soul was with Annaya. Only Annaya, and Annaya was ringing in his whole body.

Whenever he was closing his eyes, he would open them with a jerk, and only one name was leaving his mouth: Annaya.

He was never in his life terrified of anything, but for the first time, he was hell terrified, worried, anxious, and what not.

"Bacha," Priyanka said, keeping her hand on his shoulder. He just hummed in reply, but his whole attention was on the door. "Bacha, have some coffee or anything," she asked.

"No, Bua, I don't feel like having anything. You all have, please," he said, declining her. Priyanka thought it was now a waste to ask him because he would not have anything until he saw Annaya. So, she quietly went towards Shraddha, Esha, Pooja, and all the girls.

Time passed, and it was now 5 o'clock in the early morning. Everyone was sitting in the corridor, waiting for Annaya. Till now, nobody came out, not even the nurse or ward boy.

They were getting worried now about what was actually happening inside, and Abhimanyu was still standing beside the door, leaning against the wall.

He just wanted to run inside the operation theater and stand beside Annaya, holding her palm, saying, "I'm there for you," but he couldn't.

He was getting terrified about what would happen after she woke up. Did she remember him or not? Even thinking about that made his breath hitch.

Mitali looked towards Abhimanyu, and then she glanced towards Akshara. She nodded, and they both stood up and went towards him.

"Abhi," Mitali called him out.

"Yes, Mom," he replied.

"Bacha, please take some rest and have some coffee," she said. And Abhimanyu, as always, was about to decline when Akshara interrupted him.

"Abhi, you will not say no, or else I will say this to Annaya. And you know if she gets to know, then she will get angry, and even she will cry," she said.

Abhimanyu just had a faint smile. He knew they were just thinking for him, but he seriously didn't want to go, leaving her. But he couldn't deny them, as for so much time, everyone was asking him. So, he nodded and went to freshen up.

He came inside the room where they used to stay and glanced towards the room, which was alone. But only he could see Annaya everywhere—her sound, laughter. Every corner of the room was only reminding him about Annaya.

Then his eyes went towards the nightstand where their frame was kept, but his brows frowned, seeing a paper beneath it. He went towards it and took the paper, which was folded, and on one side, it was written "Abhi."
