Five months later

Abhimanyu POV:

"Thank you so much," I said, shaking hands with the investor. "Other details will be sent to you," I added, and with a nod, they left.

"Finally, we cracked this deal!" Shouraya said. We all nodded in agreement and settled down.

"This deal was giving me a headache," Sahil added while sipping his coffee.

"Yeah, seriously, it was," I replied while calling Annaya. But she was not answering.

"Varun, call Esha and tell her to ask Annaya to answer her phone," I said, to which he nodded.

"Why are you calling them? Let them enjoy! Disturbing women during shopping is the biggest crime," Shouraya said, to which Sahil nodded.

"I don't care. I just want to hear Annaya, that's it. And what happened, Varun? Did she answer?"

"No, she's also not answering. What happened to them? Why are they not answering? And Annaya never does this," I said while dialing again. But, as always, it's not reachable.

"Sahil, you call Pooja," I said, but he was behaving like he didn't hear me. I took an empty plastic bottle and threw it towards him.

"Abhimanyu! What is this?" he shouted angrily as some coffee spilled on his clothes.

"He told you something, and you're behaving like you didn't listen. So, you got that?" Varun said while munching on his coffee.

"You guys go to hell!" Sahil said angrily, standing up and walking toward the washroom connected to the conference room.

"Stop your drama, and I told you to call Pooja!"

"I will not because I love my life, and she hates being disturbed during shopping," he replied, shouting from the washroom.

"Coward," Shouraya said, to which we chuckled.

"Yes, I'm happy," Sahil replied while exiting the washroom.

Our conversation was interrupted as Lakshay, Naksh, Akshay, and Mahir entered the room.

"Congratulations, guys, on the deal," they said as they took their seats.

"Thank you so much," I replied and called Mishra from the intercom. "Bring four coffees with something to eat," I added and ended the call.

"These clients were really moody. We always crack deals in five days, but they took a month just to decide whether to go with us or not," Shouraya said.

"Yeah, many other people also said that they sometimes back out from the deal or don't work properly," Naksh added.

"Yeah, that's why we signed a contract with them. If they back out or do anything else, all the loss will be theirs, not ours," I said while taking a sip of my coffee.

Mishra entered with a staff member behind him. He served the coffee to Lakshay, Naksh, Akshay, and Mahir, placed the snacks, and left.

We all started sipping our coffee while indulging in small talk.

"Acha, Akshay, is Shraddha answering your calls?" I inquired.

"Yeah, we talked an hour ago. I was asking about Pari and how her check-up went," he explained. "Kyu? What happened?" he added.

Before I could reply, Shouraya interrupted, "Arre, Kuch Nahi. He is missing Annaya and wants to hear her voice."

"Like, totally. He can't stay without Annaya for a second," Sahil added, to which they all chuckled, and I just rolled my eyes.
