𝑱𝒐𝒗𝒊 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒔𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒘𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒄𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒆𝒅, she absentmindedly twirled a loose thread on her sleeve. She had technically been awake for a while, but getting up just hadn't seemed worth it yet.
She glanced at her phone screen, eyes flickering over the latest message.
Blondie: So, you dead or just ignoring me?
Sabrina: Wow. The concern is overwhelming.
Blondie: What can I say? I have a soft spot for reckless blondes with mommy issues.
Sabrina: You're hilarious.
Blondie: I try. So, what's your excuse this time? Locked in the bunker? Daddy Winchester breathing down your neck?
Sabrina: More like sulking in bed, thinking about life and how weirdly fun it is to talk to you.
Jovi hesitated before sending that last message, but whatever. It was true. As much as she hated to admit it, Cruz had grown on her ridiculously fast. Their whole thing had started as sarcastic banter, but now? It felt... easy. Like she didn't have to overthink everything. It was a nice breather.
She was still waiting for his next reply when her bedroom door swung open with zero warning.
"Alright, let's go," Dean announced, stepping inside like personal space was just a concept and not a basic human right.
Jovi barely had time to lock her phone before he was yanking the blankets off her. "DAD!" she shrieked, clutching her phone to her chest. "Ever heard of knocking?!"
Dean just gave her a flat look. "Ever heard of getting out of bed before noon?"
Jovi groaned, throwing her arm over her face. "I am out of bed. Mentally."
Dean ignored her. "You've been holed up in here for days. That ends now."
"I have not been holed up," she argued, even though she totally had. "I've been... recharging." Dean snorted. "Yeah? Well, you can recharge in the garage. Come on."
