𝑱𝒐𝒗𝒊'𝒔 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒘𝒂𝒔 about to go drastically downhill but she didn't know it yet. The teen wore a bright smile as she walked beside Ares and Kat down the schools corridor prepared to leave for the day.
"I'm just saying," Ares started, gesturing wildly, "if I had super speed, I'd be at school on time every day."
Kat snorted. "Please. You'd still be late because you'd stop to race birds or something stupid."
Jovi laughed, shaking her head. "He'd probably get distracted robbing a vending machine for snacks."
"Why do you two always doubt my hypothetical powers?" Ares shot back, mock offended. As they reached the edge of the lot, Jovi's eyes caught a familiar figure leaning casually against the Impala. Her heart did a small flip. There was her dad, arms crossed, his expression unreadable but his green eyes soft as he watched her approach.
"Dad" Jovi said, a wide grin spreading across her face as she broke into a jog practically leaping into his arms. Her friends exchanged glances, both slightly bewildered but quick to follow.
"hey Angel" Dean savoured this hug, he knew once he told his daughter why he was here this happy mood would soon disappear. Jovi pulled away looking up at her father with bright eyes "what're you doing here? Where's Uncle Sam?" She asked noticing how Dean was alone which was very rare. "I needed to come get you alone, Sam's meeting us somewhere" Jovi's smile faltered as concern grew in her "where? What's happening?"
Dean didn't respond as he looked up at Ares and Kat approached "hey guys"
Kat grinned. "Aw, Dean, you totally missed us already"
Ares added with a smirk, "Admit it—life would be boring without us."
Dean scoffed. "I think my blood pressure would be a lot lower without you two actually"
