Namjoon hummed a tune to himself, moving quietly through the mossy woods, his leather bag of supplies strapped across his body. In his hand was a bundle of freshly-picked lavender which he'd tied together with some twine, placing it carefully into his leather satchel. He was out gathering herbs and other essential items for his shop. He made sure to do this every other week, keeping his small business well-stocked with quality ingredients for patrons in the village. He crouched down by the trunk of a massive oak tree, plucking wild blue-hued mushrooms from the mossy earth, dropping them into a small pouch which was placed into his satchel with the other items he had collected on his walk. As he ambled down a shallow slope on the woods riddled with roots and small rocks, he spotted a small cluster of flowers a short distance ahead, clear as day. He gasped softly, their pale purple petals like a beacon of light standing out amidst the viridescent and umber tones of the forest. Those particular flowers were hard to come by and could be used when brewing certain rare potions—Namjoon could make a pretty penny off those. He got to his feet and scurried over excitedly, dropping down beside the blossoms to pull them from the dirt. Then, just as his fingertips brushed the stems, a bellowing voice rang out through the woods.
"What do you think you're doing?" The voice boomed, reverberating through the trees, birds flapping off in response to the disturbance. Namjoon startled at the deep timbre of the voice and jumped to his feet, clutching the strap of his satchel. Standing a fair distance away was an angry-looking Minotaur wielding a club, his nostrils flaring in agitation. Namjoon's hands shot up in surrender and apologies started sputtering from his lips. "I-I'm sorry. I was just collecting plants for my shop." "Well you're doing it on my land and I don't like trespassers." "I'm so very sorry." Namjoon's voice wavered as he slowly backed away. He didn't want any trouble. "You should be." The towering beast boomed, taking a step towards Namjoon. "You humans think you can just take whatever you want." "I didn't know this was anyone's territory." He uttered. "I'll make sure you remember."
You were watching from afar, having been admiring the handsome mage from a high tree branch on a nearby oak. Your tiny iridescent wings twitched softly behind you as you witnessed the tense scene playing out before you, your instincts alerting you to jump into action and do something. Scanning your surroundings in a frantic panic, you spotted an acorn hanging from a branch above. With a few powerful flutters of your wings, you reached the acorn, tugging it off the branch, holding it between your hands. Taking in a deep breath of preparation, you reared back, launching the object directly at the Minotaur with ease, watching in satisfaction as it thumped the beast between the brows. He snarled, jerking his head in the direction the projectile came from. "Who threw that?" He roared. The mage seemed caught off guard by the sudden attack, but didn't stick around to figure out who was saving him, taking the opportunity to get to his feet and flee the scene, forgetting about the precious flowers he didn't get the chance to pick. You lobbed another acorn at the Minotaur who continued spinning around trying to spot you, but at your minuscule stature, you wouldn't be seen. The large beast became agitated at the onslaught of acorns being sent his way and retreated.
