Gryffindor and Slytherin—they're rivals, sworn enemies, they never get along, but you knew otherwise. You'd been dating a Slytherin for seven months, and despite being from opposing houses, things had never been better. In fact, they were almost perfect. Min Yoongi was one of the nicest Slytherin students you'd had to pleasure of knowing, besides Jimin. He was always so sweet to you, surprising you with gifts he picked up while in Hogsmeade and sneaking into the Gryffindor dormitory to cuddle with you. He even wrote a couple silly tunes about you that he would sing on occasion.
"Hey, beautiful." Yoongi greeted, sliding an arm around your waist as he fell into step with you, walking down the corridor. "Hi." "You ready for potions class?" "No. Not really." You gave a humorless chuckle that made him smile. "Neither am I." He paused for a moment before a mischievous grin played at the corner of his pink lips. "We could ditch." "We'd get caught in no time. The school staff watch everyone like hawks." Yoongi grumbled in mild disappointment. "You're right. Hey, maybe someone will mess up on a potion and class will be cancelled." "I wish." You muttered with an amused grin. Yoongi smiled as he leaned against you slightly, the pleasant scent of his cologne filling your nostrils. He always smelled so good, making it nearly impossible for you to think clearly. His hand gently caressed your hip as he leaned in to murmur lowly in your ear. "Maybe we could ditch anyway. Just once wont hurt." You shivered at the sensation of his warm breath fanning your skin. "You know there'd be consequences for that." "Maybe the consequences are worth it." He smirked. "Education is overrated anyway." You chortled faintly. "You're very charming, but I won't be skipping class." Yoongi let out a defeated huff. "Alright, but I get you all to myself later."
Every time you two were seen together, people would give you odd looks, sometimes laced with confusion. You merely assumed it was because you and Yoongi were in competing houses since it was uncommon to see Gryffindor and Slytherin together, let alone getting along.
Potions class turned out to be more interesting than you assumed, as you were learning how to brew the Confusing Concoction. No potions exploded like Yoongi had hoped, but one student thought it would be fun to take a sip, causing them to become, well, confused. It got a few laughs from the class, including you and Yoongi. As one might assume, your professor wasn't too pleased and had to fix the problem.
Later that day after all classes were over, you went searching for Yoongi, hoping to spend some quality time with him. There was a commotion down the corridor that caught your attention and when you rounded the corner, you were met with the sight of your boyfriend messing with a younger student from Ravenclaw. Your heart leapt into your throat and the blood drained from your face, leaving a cold rush in its wake. You couldn't believe your eyes. You gasped, clamping a hand over your mouth as you witnessed him kick the student's textbooks across the floor. "Go on. Pick it up." Yoongi snickered. "Yoongi?" You uttered his name faintly, trying to process the scene before you. He froze and looked up at you with wide eyes, all the color draining from his face. "Y/n, I—" Yoongi struggled to find an explanation. He knew that what he had done was wrong, but he never expected to be caught in the act, especially not by you. He had always tried to keep his true nature hidden from you, presenting himself as kind and caring, but now, he was at a loss for words. How could he possibly justify his actions? Your gaze hardened at you stared at your boyfriend, walking over to crouch next to the Ravenclaw student, helping collect his books. "I'm so sorry." You whispered to him. "Thank you." He mumbled quietly, getting to his feet and scurrying off down the hall.
