Just Let Me Go

I was sleeping peacefully until the sounds of screaming awoke me. I jumped out of bed from fright as it was coming from Stiles room. I quickly grabbed some sun glasses as I put them on and went through the washroom as he was screaming and crying as our father was holding him tight.
"It's okay Stiles it's okay." His father reassured him.
I was so worried seeing my brother in that state that I actually wanted to do something, but I just stood there and watched.
"What's happening to him?" I asked.
"He just had a night terror." My father told me without giving me eye contact as I nodded
Stiles finally calmed down as Dad had him laying on his lap.
"Is he going to be okay?" I asked Dad as Stiles was falling back asleep. He looked up at me as he was confused, "Why're you wearing sun glasses at night?" He asked.
"It's something I just do." I terribly lied. He didn't believe me but didn't question which I was thankful of.
"Yeah, he's been having panic attacks and night terrors ever since his mother died." He said.
"She was my mother too." I added as I felt hurt that my father forget that she was my mother too.
He looked up at me with regret written all over his face.
"I didn't mean it like that." He said.
"It's okay, I'm going back to bed." I said as I was affected by it but didn't show it.
"Julia..." He said behind me but I just shut the washroom door and laid down back to sleep.

It was the morning now as I was ready for school. I was sitting down eating some cereal and my father wasn't here.
Someone came down as it was Stiles he looked at me as I did as well but I looked back down at my bowl as he went in the kitchen.
He sat in front of me as he was eating his cereal as well. It was so awkward and silent that I hated it.
"A-Are you feeling better?" I asked so I don't come out as a rude little sister.
"Yeah, just feel a bit off but I'll be fine." He said as I nodded and it was back to silence.
I don't even know how I'm going to get to my new school where I have no idea where it is.
"I'm supposed to drop you off to your new school." He said as I nodded.
We finished as I grabbed my bag as he grabbed his as well including the keys so we went out and I saw his jeep. I couldn't help but smile because Stiles loved jeeps when he was younger. I looked at Stiles as he was looking at me smiling as I wiped off the smile completely as he looked down upset.
I got in as we drove in silence. When we finally reach the school I got off.
"You don't have to pick me up, I can walk afterschool." I told him.
"Are you sure?" He asked as I nodded and walked away without saying goodbye as I can tell that he didn't drive off yet.
I went in the office as I got a tour and started the day.

Stiles's POV:
The day went by as Scott Allison and myself feel weird as Scott isn't able to control his shifting into werwolf, Allison hallucinates stuff about Kate and I can't read and see people doing sign language.
We went to Deaton's as he gave us information and basically my subconscious is telling me a riddle. I was going to go home with Scott until my dad came over to us.
"Dad?" I asked confused on why he was here.
"I need your guys help. I have an unsolved case where there's a family that has been murdered as they were in a car. There was also a girl named Malia in there but her body isn't found." He said.
"So what do you think happened?" Scott asked.
"I think it might be a werewolf because it had claws on the car and everything." He said.
"So if it is a werewolf what are you going to do?" I asked.
"Well somebody out their killed a whole family so I'm sure going to find out. Just go over to the Tate's house and try to catch a scent." He said as we nodded.
We went into my jeep as we followed my dad to the Tate's house. I checked the time as I noticed Julia was probably home alone.
I texted her not sure if she will reply.
Me: Dad's working and I'm with him so it will take a while. Left overs in fridge.
I shut my phone as I noticed we reached the house.
Scott and I sneakily went in as we began observing the place but Scott couldn't catch anything.
"My sister came back in town." I told him while we were searching as he looked at me.
"Julia is back?" He asked as I nodded.
"Isn't it crazy that I forgot about her..." I said as Scott looked at me in a sympathetic way. He put his hand on my shoulder as I looked at him with few tears in my eyes.
"It's okay bro, it's your chance to fix it now that she is here." He said.
"She barely talks to me." I said as he was about to speak but I looked behind him.
"Dog..." I said as Scott raised and eyebrow at me as he turned around as there was a dog.

Once we finally escaped the house finding no hint or clue my father came out looking upset.
"I shouldn't have brought you here I think I just opened a wound in that man." My father said as he was talking about Malia's father.
We sighed as my father left as Scott and I sat in the jeep.
"Why is your dad choosing this unsolved case over all the others?"
"He just thought he could solve this one before he isn't Sheriff anymore." I frowned.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"You're fathers is taking over." I said as his face dropped.
It was pretty silent as we were driving.

Julia's POV:
It's been a few minutes till my father came back from work as he seemed busy so I didn't really disturb him. I got Stiles message as I was confused on who texted me but I figured out it was him. I made my way towards my Dad as he looked stress going through files.
I was going to turn back and leave him be but then I made a noise which got his attention.
"Hey Julia, everything alright?" He asked as I shut my eyes and turned around looking at him.
"Yeah..." I said as I slowly walked in looking at the files he had as he was still in his uniform.
"What's this?" I asked.
"You shouldn't be looking at these." He said about to close it but I pulled it away.
"Please." I said.
He sighed as he told me about a girl named Malia and how he doesn't know how it happened. I was reading the file as it was quite interesting.
"Wow." Was all I could say.
"So what do you think did it, an animal?" I asked as he looked at me in a weird way.
"Perhaps." He said.
"Maybe it was a mountain lion or something." I said.
"Maybe... You should get some sleep." He said.
"I will but I'm going to be studying now because we have a quiz tomorrow so I'll say my goodnight now, so goodnight." I said as he said it back. I went up to my room as I grabbed my other bag as I put a flashlight, camera, and water bottle. I grabbed my phone putting it in my pocket as I changed my outfit into all black as I put on a beanie as opened the window as I snuck out. Seeing my father stressing over his job like that affected me in a way that I want to help. If I told him that he wouldn't let me so I decided to check it out myself.

Stiles POV:
I was home now as I ate some food and went to my room as I wasn't able to sleep. I wanted to check on Julia but my dad told me she's studying. My eyes were about to shut till Scott came into my room.
"Scott?" I asked.
"Let's go look for a dead body." He said looking a little pissed.
"Are you okay?" I asked him.
"Yeah." He said as I nodded as I grabbed few stuff as we left without my dad knowing.
We reached the woods where the accident happened as it began raining. Scott had a GPS to lead us to the car, I don't know how he got it but he did.
As we were walking we heard a coyote howl as I got scared as I grabbed onto Scott as he dropped his phone into a puddle.
"Sorry." I said as we went back down the hill as he checked his phone.
I looked up as I saw someone go in the car.
"Scott." I said.
"What?" He said.
"Someone just went in the car, which I'm pretty sure is evidence." I said as we slowly began walking.
As we were walking Scott slowly peeked his head through the window as someone kicked his face as he fell backwards. I jumped as I freaked out and saw the girl jump out as I was shocked.
"Julia!?" I asked as I helped Scott get up as he rubbed his nose.
"Oh my god Scott is that you?" She asked him.
"Julia? Wow you sure can kick hard." Scott said.
"I'm sorry I thought you were someone else." She said.
"What are you doing here? Do you know what happened here?" I asked her.
She looked at me as she looked weirded out.
"I'm here to help dad's case and yes I do." She said back to me.
"It's dangerous." I told her.
"Don't act like you care about me Stiles." She said as she tossed me a baby doll which I pressed as talked as Scott and I jumped.
"Guys..." Scott said as I looked up grabbing Julia and pulled her behind me as a coyote was behind her growling.
"Why are the eyes glowing blue?" Julia asked as Scott ran off chasing the coyote.
"Scott!" I yelled back.
"Is he trying to get himself killed?" Julia asked from behind me.
"He does this stuff alot." I told her.
"Chase animals?" She asked confused as I sighed.
I turned around to tell her to get home but I didn't because I was just looking at her eye. From the rain it removed her makeup as it was basically a black eye.
"What?" She asked me feeling uncomfortable.
"Your eye..." I said as her eyes went wide as she touched her face and looked at her fingers realizing her makeup came off.
"Oh god..." She said as she turned around.
I grabbed her shoulder turning her around to ask her what's wrong but then I saw tears in her eyes as I removed my hand from her shoulder.
"Just let me go." She said as she ran away.
I looked over to the direction Scott went as I looked back to where my sister was going.
"Julia!" I called behind her but she just kept running.
"Sorry Scott..." I muttered under my breath as I ran after my little sister.
