Chapter 8

Carlos's P.O.V.

I am walking down the hallway towards Adira's dorm, then I notice my palms are sweaty, I don't know why. Then I get to her door and before I knock something else happens, my stomach feels like it is tied in a knot, what is going on with me?

I finally make myself knock and then the door opens and she is standing there, she is so beautiful, no...beautiful isn't strong enough, she looks...magnificent!

"Hello, earth to Carlos!" She said waving her hand in front of my face. It snaps me out of thought and I say,

"Oh sorry...you just look, so...I would say beautiful but that word isn't strong enough."

She blushes and then closes the door to her room, we walk down the hallway and sneak out of the school, I start to take her to a cliff where I set up a picnic and the view is beautiful. Once we get there she exclaimed,

"Oh Carlos! It's breathtaking!"

"So are you." I say grabbing her hands and putting her forehead on mine.

She blushed and smiled really big, I think I just might love her. We look at each other for a few minutes then we both sit down on the blanket, and just start talking, then she stops for a minute and the continues,

"Hey, umm, so Mal seems nice."

"What do you mean?"

"Well she came up to me before goodness class started and complimented me and then asked if we could be friends, and I mean I gave you a chance so I should give her one too right."

Mal is going to use her, I told her not to, she will not get away with this.

"Hey, umm can you not tell Mal, or Evie, or Jay that we are dating?" I ask her, and by the look of devastation, then confusion, then finally hurt settle on her face, I know that I didn't put that right. I just don't want her to tell because then Mal will use her for sure.

Adira's P.O.V.

"Hey, umm, Mal seems nice." I say to him, then he looks confused.

"What do you mean?"

"Well she came up to me before goodness class started and complimented me and then asked if we could be friends, and I mean I gave you a chance so I should give her one too right."

Then he look angry, then scared, did he and Mal used to have a thing? No, and if the did I'm sure it's over, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. Then he breaks the silence by saying,

"Hey, umm can you not tell Mal, or Evie, or Jay that we are dating?" He asks, but why wouldn't he want me to tell them, maybe he and Mal did have something, or do have something still, no, I trust Carlos, I mean I don't want to be that crazy jealous girlfriend, so I just smile and say.

"Sure, I mean as long as we know right?"

"Yeah, thanks for understanding." He said smiling putting his arm around me. But I don't understand, should I be worried?

Casey's P.O.V.

"Looks like I can't lover boy is here to pick you up." I say as she looks at me, then sternly says,

"I'm going to go with him, but you better be here when I get back or C I will track you down and get the answer out of you."

Then I disappear, all except for my eyes.

She walks to the door, opens it, and standing there is Carlos, he just looking at her like She has two heads, he looks at her like she is the most stunningly beautiful human being he has ever seen, and she did look hot, she must really like him though.

"Earth to Carlos." She said waving her hand in front of his face.

"Oh sorry...you just look, so...I would say beautiful but that word isn't strong enough."

Then he holds out his arm and she takes it, then leaves, I am going to stay, but only because I owe my best friend an explanation.

I start to look around her room, I look at her desk with papers and schoolwork scattered all over it, I see her dresser with all of her knickknacks that she has gotten from different places here in Auradon, and the lost isle, then I look at her bedside table, right up front there is a picture of us, we have always been best friends, ever since we were 1 when her parents adopted me because my stupid dad just left me on a doorstep. The picture is of us on the first day of high school, when we were just freshman, there was a small empty heart shaped vile, she must have made a love potion, there was her bottle of coconut lime perfume, her hairbrush, and a book called, waterfall, then I move on to her bookshelf, I went over to her secret hiding place that only I know about, and get into it, it is were she keeps her spell books, so I grab one out and shut it back, and start flipping through it. I can't use the magic but I do like to look at it, and I have always wanted magic of my own, but I don't really have any. As I am skimming through it I see that a page is marked with a bright pink sticky note, I look at the sticky note and see that it is written in our secret language so that no one else could figure it out, it said,

"Longovonge pongotongionong fongorong Congaronglongosong, usonge bongy tonghongurongsongdongayong!"

Our language is really simple after it is broken down, you just add ong to each constant in the word, so say the word, def would be Dong-E-Fong. When read in normal English it reads,

"Love potion for Carlos, use by Thursday!"

She put a spell on him! That is why the vile is empty. I finally get done, put her book back and just wait for her to come back.
