Chapter 19

Gabriella's P.O.V.

As I put the shopping away in the fridge, the door slammed open making me confused because mom was at work and Gabe was upstairs.

I shut the fridge and walked out of the kitchen to see Jason furiously walking over to me.

"Jason?" I said as he approached me.

"Who the fuck was that guy with you at the grocery store?!" He growled towering over me.

"What? Conner? He's my mom's friends son... But how do you he was with me?" I asked.

"And so you gave him your number?" He asked clenching his jaw completely ignoring the question I had asked him.

"No! He gave me his mom's number, he moved to Florida and my mom lost contact with his mom and so he gave me his mom's number, do you really think I'd do that?" I asked looking up at him.

His facial expressions changed to normal and his eyes went back to there usual bright brown colour.

"What?" He said obviously confused.

"Yeah, he's my mom's friends son, nothing more, and I really don't think you are in the position to be accusing me of stuff, considering you don't even tell me what's going on" I folded my arms finally saying what I wanted to say.

"What do you mean? What have I not told you?" He asked creating lines on his forehead as he frowned.

"I heard you, speaking to Ryan? Saying how 'they were coming for me' and 'you were going to leave with me' when we're you planning on telling me this Jase?" I raised my eyebrows as he realised I knew everything.

"What did I tell you about eavesdropping baby" he said trying to come close to me but I backed away.

"Really? Is that all you're gonna say? Aren't you going to explain to me what is even going on?" I asked.

"I just don't want you to get worried... All yu need to know now, is that I'm going to protect you over everything, I won't let anyone hurt or go near you okay?" He said bending down to reach my lips as he placed a short but sweet kiss on my lips.

"Fine..." I replied looking down at my feet. I felt him place his hand under my chin and made me look up at him.

"When is your next vacation?" He asked making me confused.

"Next week actually" I replied.

"Okay, I'm going to take you away from here, I'm working with the gang to find these people, I already know who they are and they are in Canada... We're going to go there and finish this, I can't leave you here again, I won't let them come near you" He explained caressing my cheek.

I had no idea who 'they' were, but if Jason didn't want to say there names then I don't mind.

"What am I meant to tell my mom?" I asked.

"Don't worry, I will sort it, just try and stay inside as much as you can for this week, I know it will be hard with school and all, but trust me its for the best" He said kissing my forehead.

I nodded stepping back as the doorbell went off.

I went to the door opening it, I saw Harry, Gabe's friend standing there with a soccer ball in his hand as he flipped his hair to the side he gave me a smile.

"Hey Harry" I smiled as he looked shy.

"Uh hey, is Gabe in?" He asked, his eyes diverted to on top of me as I turned around to see Jason had appeared behind me and looked like he didn't want to see Harry for some reason.

"Yeah he is, come in" I said, he walked in and I shut the door behind him, "he's in his room" I said, Harry always cane to our house so he knew it well so he went up the stairs and in the direction of Gabe's room.

"That kid needs to get tougher, he looks like a pussy" Jason laughed making me smack his arm, "leave him alone, he's sweet, unlike some people" I playfully rolled my eyes.

"Is that right?" He said looking at me in amusement, I laughed nodding my head before he grabbed me by my sides and picked me up throwing me over his shoulder "Jase! Put me down!" I laughed as he carried me over to the living room before dropping me on the couch.

"No good girl likes a good guy, I mean can you imagine me being sweet?" He asked hovering over me.

I pretended to think about it for a second "Hmm... No" I replied making him smirk.

"There you go" he winked kissing my lips. I kissed back as he traced his tongue on my lower lip. I pulled away smiling, "But no good girl would dream of having a bad boy, so?" I said smartly making Jason smirk.

"But you baby girl, are in love with a bad boy, never mind dreaming about one"

"Can you guys please get yourself another room?" I heard my brothers voice say making me push Jason off of me as we both came up from the couch looking over at Harry and Gabe.

"I thought you guys were gonna go practice or something?" I asked as the came over and turned on the PlayStation which Gabe also had one in his room.

"Yeah but the field is closed of for some stupid ass cheerleader practice, so we're staying here" He said handing Harry a controller.

"Shouldn't you be excited about seeing a bit of cheerleader?I know I would of when I was your age" Jason smirked making me push him off of me.

"Yeah cos now your like a Grandpa" I joked because Jason was almsot 21.

"A Grandpa? Really Gabi, I'm a man" He said pulling me back to him.

"Yeah okay can you take your love shit somewhere else, we're trying to play" Gabe said as the game started.

"What is up with you? First you don't like watching the cheer squad, and then you get all defensive over 'love' oh not to mention that girl we saw at the grocery store that you basically ignored when she asked for your number" I said as he started to play.

"Nithing" he brushed off but I knew he was lying.

"He has a major crush on this girl in our class" Harry spoke up making my jaw drop.

"No way! Who is she? Omg do I know her? Is it Caitlin? Oh my god" I freaked out getting all excited as I sat up propely.

"No! I don't have a crush on anyone" Gabe argued glaring at Harry.

"Its Lucy, she's on the cheer team and thats why he didn't want to go to the field to practice today, because she was going to be there and he starts stuttering when she speaks to him, its hilarious" Harry laughed making my mouth drop in amusement.

"Omg shut up, Lucy Smith?! No way!" I laughed remembering seeing her at school a couple times because she would come to the main hall to do cheer stuff.

"Stop! I don't like her! Its none of your business Gabi, please don't go speak to her because I know you will" Gabe begged stopping the game.

"Come on babe, let him be" Jason laughed pulling me back words by putting his hand on my stomach from behind and pulling me out the room.

"Fine I won't! But you better make a move before its too late" I yelled as we left the room.

"The poor boy, you better not do anything with that Lucy girl" Jason said raising my eyebrows.

"I won't..." I said but Jason knew me too well, "alright fine I wont!" I replied putting my hands up.

"Good, now when does your mum get back? I need to speak to her about taking you with me" He said referring to going to Canada.

"Oh yeah..." I replied, my mood changing a little.

"Hey, smile, as scary as this may sound for you, I'm going to try my best to make sure you have some fun going to Canada... I promise" He said as I led him out to the door.

I smiled at him as he pulled me in attaching our lips, we moved in sync before we pulled back slightly, "I love you princess" He said agasint my lips.

"I love you too Jay"
