.Chapter 23

Gabriella's P.O.V.

I sat in class writing down my note on my notebook drowning my mind with the voice of my History teacher who was way too aggressive to be a teacher, not physically.

I put the palm of my hand holding my chin as I yanwed.

"So when the first world war room place-" the teacher was cut of by the door opening. We all looked over at the door to see Ryan standing there.

I stared confused at him as lines created on my forehead, "Gabriella, I need to take you home" He said making everyone look over at me.

"Excuse me? No one is going anywhere, what is going on?" Sir asked as he looked over at me.

"Sorry but I have a note written by the principal, he says she can go" Ryan said handing him the note.

He read it before looking over at me, "you can go, but you must complete the task and write the extra essay since you are leaving early" He replied viciously, my mouth slightly opened as he gave me yet another essay to write, not wanting to argue I took a hold of my two notebooks and pen, nodding at him before walking over to Ryan who gave me a smile.

We the left the classroom and I shut the door behind me,"why are you taking me home?" I asked as we walked down the hallways.

"Jason's orders, we're leaving for Canada today, I can't say anything else" He replied making me stop in my tracks.

"Today?! He said Saturday? I can't leave today, I have assignments due and Lucy is coming over and I can't-" He cut me off putting his hands up.

"I know, just calm down, Jason is doing this for your protection, come on, he will explain at home" He said pulling my arm out the school building.

He led me down to his car which made me wonder about my car.

"This is Rick, he will take your car and leave it in Jason's garage, we can't risk it staying at your house as it might have a tracker installed in it from the other...people" he explained making me suspicious.

I looked at Rick who was waiting for me to give him my car keys which I was hesitant to doing, I took them out of my back pocket and handed them to him and he got in and left. I got in to Ryan's car and we drove to the route of my house.

"And what about my mom? I haven't even told her that I'm leaving" I said looking over at him.

"Jason's over there now talking to her... Just don't worry okay? Jason's got everything sorted" He explained as we entered my drive way. He parked the car and we got out.

I noticed Jason's car was in my drive and so I walked in to my house with Ryan following behind. I heard sounds coming from upstairs, I went up the stairs and in my room to see Jason on the phone and zipping up a suitcase.

Once he saw me he said something quickly in to the phone before hanging up, "Ryan, these down to the car, we'll be down in a while" Jason said Ryan nodded and took a hold of the 2 suitcase Jason had packed.

"Do you wanna tell me what's going on?" I asked as be shut my room door.

"Listen, I know I said we were leaving Saturday, but something's happened and we can't stay here for now, I've spoken to your mum and she's agreed for me to take you now, I know this is confusing for you but I can't tell you everything, yet" he explained picking my hand up in his and intertwining our fingers.

"Jason, you know I have assignments for school and if I don't get them done, I won't graduate, I can't leave now, I just got Lucy to agree to coming over, I need to do this for Gabe, why didn't you think about that?" I asked as I looked up at him.

"I know princess, but I promised myself I would never let anything happen to you, and if you stay here, you're not going to be safe, can't you do it online? I'm sure your mum can sort something" He said as if it were nothing.

"I'm talking about graduation, this is a big deal and I can't be doing assignments online because I have to be there, in the room with them to get my credits, I thought you knew this" I replied not in the best tone.

"Why are you being so ungrateful? Huh? I'm here trying my fucking best to make sure nothing happens to you, can't you just fucking do what I say for once?" He spat letting go off my hand.

I raised my eyebrows, I'm not normally an angry person, but him saying this really got me annoyed.

"I'm ungrateful? How? What have I ever done to make you say that? I support you in everything and just because I want to do good in my life and graduate so I can go to college, it means I'm ungrateful?" I asked drowning at him.

Jason didn't say anything, he just started at me with fury as his eyes were dark from anger, he knew I was right and he was wrong and everything he was saying was totally unfair.

"Just... Can you please just leave this behind and meet us by the car once you have all your stuff?" He sighed closing his eyes holding my hand again. Jason was bipolar but he had been trying to calm himself down and he also had a terrible temper which I had asked him to go see someone about but he told me the only therapy he needed was me.

I pulled his hand of me turning around, I left my room and went down the stairs, I left outside and saw Ryan standing by a black SUV big car with tinted black windows.

Jason came from behind me and gave me his 'sad' eyes, I rolled my eyes turning back around I shut both doors and locked the two locks, "Does Gabe have the key?" Jason asked as I locked it up. I didn't know weather to hit him with the silent teacher or shoot back at him angrily.

I simply turned around and walked over to Ryan without saying a word.

"My mom said she won't be home so I have to lock up the gate after" I said to Ryan who was leaning against the car.

"What about Gabe?" He asked as the driver drove the car outside the gates we all walked outside the gates, Jason and Ryan stood waiting for me to lock the gates up whilst I explained to Ryan. "He's staying over at a friends house" I slightly yelled as when I was closing the large gates a loud screeching sound uttered as it scrapped against the floor.

I then locked it and went over to the little screen next to the gate and tapped on the option to lock the gates and turn on the security systems.

"Camera's on" the women spoke from the screen which basically told us that the security cameras were on.

I pressed okay before I turned around taking out my phone I walked past Jason as I texted mom that I had locked up, I got in to the back of the SUV, Ryan was in the front besides the driver and so Jason was now sitting next to me, I sat at the end next to the window and I think Jason knew I didn't want him sitting next to me so he sat on the other side of the window opposite.

The car began to move and I looked down at my phone as I texted Taylor since she was asking why I was taken home by Ryan today. I wasn't going to lie to her since she basically knew everything so I told her what i knew, which wasn't a lot.

I could feel Jason staring at me I locked my phone since she wasn't replying straight away and looked out the winode and avoiding his eyes, because inknee I would instantly give in if I looked in to them.
