After the airships went down everything was a blur.

Watching him fall to the water.

I rescued the you without a second thought...



"Because I'm with you till' the end of the line"



Those words burned into me.

I know now.

I keep my head down now, making sure no one can find me. A trench coat drawn up over my clothes so they can't identify me. And a baseball cap to cover my eyes.

I'm looking for you Steve.

In my fear I ran. I ran away from the truth that day. Scared of the unknown, scared that I did know you. Unable to comprehend your existence to me. What a friend you were to me. How could I be so mindless to forget?

What made me forget?




There's so much about myself that I don't remember, but the things that I do... Are pictures and visions of you and me together.
My last memory?

Falling off a cliff, trying to grasp your hand as you called down to me. You yelling my name with panic in your eyes.

You were my friend. And I tried to kill you.


And I hate myself for it.




I'm not certain things can ever go back to as they were before... But when we do meet again I'll have known now who you are, and what you are, and forever will be to me.
