The willow grove had been transformed into something out of a fairytale.
The evening sun bathed the clearing in soft golden light, and magical fairy lights sparkled between the willow branches like fireflies caught in a timeless dance. Charms cast by Luna twinkled overhead, adding glimmering stars to the sky even before night had fallen. Blankets and cushions in gentle hues of emerald, navy, and silver were spread across the grass, welcoming the loved ones who had gathered to witness something sacred.
Tonight wasn't just a celebration. It was a promise. A healing. A binding of four souls into something unbreakable.
Luc and Severus stood together near the edge of the bonding circle, their matching robes of dark green stitched with protective runes and subtle silvery threads that shimmered as the wind moved. Luc's hands trembled slightly, though he held his chin high. Sev stood beside him, calm and grounded, his hand resting lightly on Luc's lower back.
Opposite them stood Enrico and Art, both dressed in soft ceremonial robes of deep blue and grey. Ric's eyes shimmered with unshed tears as he scanned the space around them—family, friends, safety, warmth. Something he had never dreamed would be his. Art stood tall at his side, a gentle smile resting on his lips as he reached down to give Ric's hand a squeeze.
The babies, Theo and Amara, were in safe arms—Theo curled in Remus's lap, Amara snoozing peacefully in Sirius's, both doting over the little ones as if they were their own grandchildren.
Luna stepped into the center of the glowing circle, barefoot, her wand in hand and her expression radiant. Her voice, when she spoke, was soft, yet carried like the wind itself listened.
"Tonight, under stars and spells, before those who love them, four souls bind in love, choice, and magic. May this bond be eternal, may it be true, may it bring light in darkness."
She stepped back, allowing Luc to move forward.
"I was cold before I met you," Luc said, his voice trembling but strong. "Sev, you saw through me when I didn't even know who I was. Ric, you reminded me that softness is strength. Art... you made me believe I was worthy of a second chance. I choose you. All of you. Forever."
Sev followed, his tone steady, calm like his presence. "I spent most of my life waiting on the outside of things. But you—Ric, Art—you opened the door. You let me in. You let me love you. And Luc... you taught me that love doesn't have to hurt. I choose you all. Always."
Enrico wiped a tear from the corner of his eye and stepped forward. "I used to think being loved meant being quiet and perfect. But you all showed me that love is loud, safe, and real. You let me be messy, scared... me. I choose you. Every day."
Art's voice cracked as he began, but he didn't stop. "I didn't know love could feel like this. Like peace. Like home. You make me better, all of you, and I want to spend every day proving I can do the same for you. I choose you. My whole heart."
They stepped together into the glowing bonding circle, joining hands. The magic pulsed between them, a heartbeat of energy that wrapped them in warmth and light. Luna raised her wand.
"With these words spoken, and these souls aligned, I bind you now, and always. As one."
The silver light of the bonding circle lifted like a wave, spinning around them with wind and warmth, sinking into their skin and hearts. For a brief, perfect moment, the four of them were suspended in magic.
When the glow settled, they were still joined—hands, hearts, souls—each now with a pulse that thrummed in sync with the others.
The clearing erupted in joyful cheers. Hagrid sobbed openly, Sirius let out a loud whistle of celebration, and Remus wiped his eyes with a trembling smile. The babies cooed and clapped from their makeshift blanket nest as if sensing the happiness in the air.
Luc reached for Ric and pulled him into a tight embrace. Art was already laughing and crying in Sev's arms. Then all four melted into one hug, forehead to forehead, hands tangled and hearts overflowing.
Later that night, as fairy lights continued to dance and music filled the air, they sat together wrapped in one another's arms under the willows. The babies slept peacefully nearby, surrounded by pillows and small enchanted toys. They talked, laughed, shared memories with their family, and soaked in every ounce of the warmth they'd built together.
No fear. No shame. No hiding.
Just love.
Pure and true.
And when the fireflies blinked out one by one, and the night turned deep and quiet, four souls curled into one another beneath the stars—bonded by more than magic.
They were home.
